This chapter of life is called now...

The end of everything...

Can be the beginning of anything...

You are not a reflection of the people who cannot see you

Let the image run clear...

Understand that their disrespect comes from the fact that you are actually what they pretend to be

Don't ever let other people decide who you are

Stop letting fear waste life's moments

Remove the anchor...

Don't let the thought of the unknown keep you from starting over

You are allowed to outgrow everything that you once tolerated

To release all that no longer serves you well

Forgiveness is a power...

To give it...

To receive it...

To withhold it...

And to bestow it upon yourself...

It is some of the hardest work we will ever do

Own your footsteps forward

Embrace your power...

Rise with the brightness of the sun

With confidence in being the best version of you

Growth from what was is now choosing not to reopen the door to the past

Refuse to give up the peace you fought for and won

Because there is always going to be people in your life who change your trajectory

They will walk into your life for a moment, a lifetime, or anytime in between

They are going to disrupt something in your life that will challenge you completely

It will trigger your beliefs and cause you to re-examine your values

Trying desperately to cause hesitation with the place in which you stand

Know that these people will teach you...

And they will probably be taught by you...

That when you choose continued behaviour, you also choose the consequences that come with it

Reminding you now that lessons in life's existence happen always

There is just this one life...

Where you get to choose where you go and what you can do...

And be who you wish to be...

You get to choose your mindset...

Your actions...

And your reactions...

Attitude and perception is everything

Power in choice is given every day

Honour your inner wisdom

Brave are your choices made to follow your own path

Release the rules placed upon you by others

Especially when they begin to chain and restrain your freedom to be you

You deserve to feel safe within your own life

Trust the empowerment

Give it a chance before dismissal

Trust action over words

People can tell you anything, but actions tell you everything

Change is life and existence...

Everything comes to an end...
Everything must eventually be paid for
And one day you have to draw a line underneath it all and add it all up

If you can release it from your hands, then you should be able to release it from your mind

Separate observation from preconception

You cannot remain at war between what you want to say and what you should say...

Its okay to be mentally and emotionally tired

Acknowledge that these moments have taken too much from you

Feel what you feel...

There is no rule book to follow on how to handle all that life throws at you

Do the best you can in your own way

Give yourself the space to work through it

You are on your own timeline

Embrace your purpose wished

Move forward like you have nothing to prove

Because peace can come as distance is placed.

There comes a point in time...

When a decision in choice has to be made...

To allow what comes next...

And actually mean it...

Boundaries only work when you enforce them

The goal is not to be right, but to live with the truth

Past wounds caused were never your fault

But the ownership of healing from them is your responsibility

To find peace, you have to be willing to lose the connection to chaos

Understand the limit in tolerance and when it has been reached

Deny the blame for their disrespect given to you

Don't let the fear of what could happen let nothing happen

Everyone carries some darkness...

The question is whether they hide it...

Use it...

Or are consumed by it...

It may not be realized now, but the thing that ended up hurting you the most, will also be the thing that changes your standards forever

Pain has a strange way of clarifying what you will never tolerate again

Like the saying goes, you either get better or you get bitter...

When you take what has been done to you and allow it to make you into a better person

Or you allow it to tear you apart piece by piece...

The choice belongs to you...

That is why when words fail, actions need to speak

The image that others have of you is not your responsibility to live up to

Release the weight of expectation...

Acknowledge the painful transition...

Know that you are not falling apart, but stepping into something different

Just like the moon going through phases of dark to light, and everything in between

It may not always appear with the same brightness...

But you are always still whole...

Existing and growing...

From a wound that once bled.

"Rather Than You"

 

Silence isn't always empty...

It can be full of answers to those who wish to hear...

With hidden meanings or spoken in the loudest volumes...

Life is every moment always

There are going to be times when you feel like you are drowning in thoughts

Of tears and bad memories unable to be forgotten

When darkness lurks behind every day, leaving you to desperately wishing for sunshine

Only for you to realize that you need to allow the light in...

To step out from the shadows cast over you

With an understanding that tomorrow is always there, with or without you...

A step in any direction than here and now, is the act of surviving

Acknowledging that we do sometimes break

Not because we are not strong enough to carry the load

But because we decided to pick up something that was not ours to bear

Before the truth can set you free...

You need to recognize which lies are holding you hostage...

Sometimes lost things need not return

Acceptance is realization of change...

That sometimes we cannot rely on a clock or calendar to tell us when its okay to move on

Our heart does not understand the notion of time or distance

Only absence...

Refuse to let others ruin your peace, just because they cannot find theirs

Removing yourself from chaos should not have to require an apology

Letting go is not giving up...

It is one of the bravest things you will ever do...

Because when holding on is only ever hurting you

Let the connection break, rather than your being...

Be that to yourself which you did not receive...

And let them miss you...

They earned it.

We all have a story of us...

Of chapters lived...

Of so many moments forgotten...

And some pages that never get spoken about

We are the contrast in difference

Actions have meaning even if the outcome is denied

Words are still the singularly most powerful force available to humanity

We can choose their use as well as their force

Constructive or destructive...

Meant as encouragement or despair...

They carry the energy and power with the ability to help or harm

To hinder or heal..

And to humiliate or humble...

So in a world overflowing with words, sometimes it's not about what people promise...

It's how they show up that speaks the loudest

Some people only cling to their hate so stubbornly because once that emotion is gone, they will be forced to deal with their pain

Making the part of you that has removed others from your presence neither bitter or vengeful

Your being was simply exhausted from being used, then blamed for the sadness felt

We don't always know how to carry the weight of being human

How to hold happiness or disappointment in the same breath

Yet we continue to reach for the light...

Because it always returns when everything else fades...

It's the truth we return to...

The general belief that we are already enough, just the way we are

Just like the beginning of a new day

You have been given this blank page to do with as you will

What you do today is important...

Because when tomorrow comes, this day will be behind you

So it's best to make it something worth while ...

Containing the betterment of you.

It's your continued journey...

There will be moments of in between this and everything else...

When life reminds you every day that its a series of stages..

You may feel lost, angry, unseen, confused, or empty...

The difficult part is not to confuse these parts of transition with a forever state of being

You are not broken...

You are breaking away from what was, creating space to welcome what will be

It is never too late to be whoever you wish to be

There is no time limit, start whenever you want

You can change or stay the same...

But it does require you to acknowledge the difference in those choices

To make the best of it or allow the worst of it...

Maybe this chapter of your life is called resilience

A season of heavy steps forward where tears blend with resolve

A day when you choose to rise with the light, instead of falling with the darkness

Reminding yourself that there are going to be times when you feel like drowning within life

That no amount of guilt will solve the past...

And no amount of worry will redirect the future...

You are here and now living within existence

You owe no one access to the healed version of you if they ever once contributed to the broken one

Boundaries are not walls, they are gates you control

Allow yourself to be proud of surviving the storms that have passed

Self-love can and will be tough...
Sometimes it can feel abrasive with the ache of temporary discomfort

But it is a practice worth dedication..

Your being is worth the effort...

To be given the chance once again to blossom passed those moments when you were convinced you were failing or falling behind

It won't always be easy, and it wont always be beautiful

But that is life, us in the middle, and the balance of it all

Shaping you into the person you were meant to be

And despite all appearances, those things that were pushing you off your direction of path taken...

Were in fact leading you through it.

It's the truth...

Liars do make the best promises...

So pay attention to their reactions to your boundaries

Their recoil and backlash to them is more of an honest response then words could ever be

The lines drawn are seen more as a personal attack against them, than acts of trespass against you...

Making this one of the most devastating forms of betrayal...

When your suffering is not recognized and denied...

When you are made to believe that you are the problem while they are mistreating you

Makes this the exact moment of a point of no return

Blinded vision is now made incredibly clear...

Serving as your everlasting reminder...

That the unkind words people speak, say more about their insecurities they keep, than about you

Because unhealed people don't listen with their ears, they listen with their triggers...

This is why you must do your best to stop carrying old feelings into new experiences

Release the harsh and pointed voices heard

Those are just a throwback to the past and it holds no truth about these moments now

Let go of the bitterness of self-judgment, the old, and the learned ways of beating yourself up for each imagined inadequacy
Allow the dialogue within the mind to grow friendlier
Transition out of your inner criticism of life

Allow the outlook to shift and see the difference...

Because this understanding is almost the most undefinable definition of living

That some how in some way you do endure everything and you survive...

You break into a million pieces and yet, you rebuild with what is salvageable

Your trust gets reduced and your spirit within hope gets shaken

Skepticism tries to seep back in through past scars...

But, some how, you are able to rinse the darkness with light

Granting yourself forgiveness...

Change requires you to give this gift to yourselves...

As you step into the next chapter within the seasons of life

Understand wholeheartedly, that if you were ever to need a good enough reason to fully believe in a being...

You are it...

A thousand times over...

You are enough.

Calm yourself...

Take a moment...

And just breathe...

A single moment of weakness can become the birth place of strength

Treat a failure as information now found instead of a setback within life

A loss can be a stepping stone found...

There is no shame in changing or rebuilding your life slowly

Not all can be fixed over night...

Some clarity will be found after confusion...

Some peace is only ever found after everything else falls apart...

Learning to carry yourself through the hardest parts in life is something to be tremendously proud of

Once you realize that everyone will only see you as their own version of you

And that version is only a reflection of them, this is where the line of understanding now begins

You are your own being, not who people say you are

You are not responsible for how they perceive you...

You are you and they are them...

Your being of energy is a gift

Not all who enter your life should have access to it

Nor should they be allowed to steal from it...

Some will only ever avoid you, simply because you tell the truth, and they wish to embrace a lie

This does not mean you are stuck where you stand...

You have acknowledged the direction of change needed

And brave are the new footsteps forward on your own

Release the heaviness as needed...

Along with any lack of respect received from those who watched you struggle endlessly

Only to add more weight to your shoulders, rather than helping rise above

Because sadly, hurt people can and do hurt other people

So comprehend this...

Why can't kindness and compassion be just as contagious?

The mind always remembers the words and the heart always remembers how it feels

Which teaches us the difference in the hardest lesson learned

That change does happen, and it does get better, but not by accident

It takes an intentional choice, honest growth, and moving forward without having all the answers to do so

Because your light will always expose unresolved things hidden within the darkness of others.

"The Exact Moment "

 

Breathe...

This is the exact moment you knew was coming...

Where you believe that everything is finished, but it's only the beginning...

Healing rarely looks the way the mind has imagined it

Some days it feels like progress...

Other days it feels like you are right back where you started

Look closer to the being within...

There has been change...

The way you speak to yourself now is different

Tolerance for poor behaviour is limited

Even the way you sit with difficult emotions has altered

Growth is happening...

You are not what has been done to you

You are what you have overcome

Every mistake...

Each lie and broken promise...

Every fallen teardrop...

You have survived...

The scars that you carry mean that you are stronger than what tried to hurt you

Remind yourself you are human...

Remember this when doubt clouds your judgment

Nothing out there is worth getting out of character for

Sometimes you must cut the connection with those who are not good for your being

The care is not lost, but the respect within communication is

Your sanity and peace of mind begs for you to move on...

To stop taking directions from others to places they have never been

Because that type of tolerance eventually comes with resentment

At first you call it patience...

Then the care within love...

But what it really is, is self-abandonment

Every time you swallow a boundary, excuse a pattern, or silence your discomfort...

Something inside you keeps score

And eventually, the bill comes due

Asking all that you owe...

Please, hear me clear...

I am here to get it right, not to be right...

To realign the balance of give and take...

By understanding the shift in change and the difference of it all

It took me a long time to be at peace with a lot of my demons

A battle long fought, won, and laid to rest...

This is why I have no immediate desire to battle yours on my own...

I am no longer interested in the level of life you have to offer my being

Or the only role you deem me worthy to to play within it

This is where I take my final stand...

Releasing every part of you from me...

It's not that I refuse to care, I just have to care better for me...

There always seems to be certain feelings that remain after decisions are made

More question are asked than answers provided...

Actions continue to fail...

And the same words are forever repeated and spoken...

Are among the many reasons why I refuse to be your stepping stone of betterment any longer

A fixer of your broken that you keep on breaking

The healer of wounds you keep open and bleeding

Just another pit stop for a quick top-up of momentary happiness

Or the layover to a place deemed better than all of this...

To continue to be the one who makes you whole and all better now...

Staying only because I have patched up all the holes within you

Making you all temporarily better, just so you may travel on your way

While failing to realize that the patches you leave with, are also pieces of me

This is why I release you now, fully and completely...

My boundary line is now drawn...

If you are never going to change for yourself, why would you promise to change for another?

This is why I've stopped choosing a being who refuses to choose me...

There are some actions and steps that have to be taken

Especially when they continually over step the line of carelessness

Respect, sanity and peace should never have to be negotiable...

Neither is the allowance in the amount damage caused...

Without any consequences received.

Change...

Like sunrise through the darkness...

Everything that was yesterday now echoes through time

Each moment we breathe life into our being

So we may understand the feelings coursing through our veins

Love or loss...

To heal the hurt...

And to be at peace with it all...

Today is existence

Tomorrow is unknown

All waiting upon a decision to be made

We hold so tightly to some memories because they never change when everybody else does

This is why we tend to find ourselves a little lost

Trying to remember ourselves before who we are now

Sometimes people refuse to apologize for the harm they have caused

Because admitting that they hurt someone will destroy the version of themselves they believe in

This is why we must notice the difference in people

Either they are a reflection of a repeated cycle...

Or they are guides towards a new start...

We just don't simply walk away from another being to teach them a lesson

We do so because we have learned ours...

This is where our understanding is made

Give yourself permission to be where you are

Be the person who still tries after failure, frustration, or disappointment

Be the person who musters up the courage once again to try

To believe that a new attempt can manifest a new outcome

Be the person who still tries...

Always.

We can and do adapt...

We have this ability carried within us as long as we allow it

Grant yourself the permission to be authentically you

Growth comes slowly, and sometimes painfully...

It reminds us of our humanity

Existence is the purpose of life

Our journey can and will probably shift...

We don't have to keep proving to others that we are okay

We are still worthy, even when we feel like we are not

Just because you feel something doesn't make it true

It is not a complete fact...

It is an emotion, and sometimes, that's all that it will ever be

Never give up on the being that you want to become

There is still time for you to be all that you want to be

Because at the end of it all, you will have as much life as you allow yourself

Especially when you come to understand that hurt does not own you

One brave step in any direction can change your entire life story

There is no other force known than a being determined to rise

So take this moment to remind yourself...

You are not stuck where you are unless you want to be

You are not behind...

You are becoming.

With unforeseen curves in the road ahead

The highest of highs...

Along with the soul breaking lows...

Our being is the greatest project we will ever work on

Remind yourself to remember that you are allowed to step back

Or reset...

And refocus as many times as you need...

Because sometimes its all about the chance taken

A choice to be brave...

To remind yourself that we are not responsible for the poor choices other people make

Never except excuses for cruelty...

Shame is the lie that someone told you about yourself

There is a difference in the stand that you take

You will forever be defiant to those who cannot manipulate you

Like all stories, there needs to be a villain...

So they pretend that you are evil...

Just to they don't have to feel guilty about the things they did to you

Simply because they well never understand anything beyond their level of blind perception

It becomes so easily forgotten...

That darkness does not destroy light, it defines it...

It is our fear of the dark that begins to cast the most shadows

To forget the past...

While only remembering the lesson learned...

Your best foot forward should only ever be done for you

There will always be opposition...

Because someone will never see your worth...

We are only as blind as we want to be...

Pay attention to those who bring hostility and anger to your boundaries

Because this is the final line drawn...

Found there is the edge of understanding

Where their respect for you now ends...

Sometimes its not the pain, but who it comes from that hurts the most

The reality is bitter...

And brings forth a change to everything...

When all else fails we remember the words

You cannot change someone's behaviour by loving them or explaining it to them harder

You cannot stay where you are not welcomed

You must know without any hesitation that you are worthy of something other than second guessing

Be only where your presence matters...

The simple truth is, we are all healing from wounds and scars we never asked for

We do our best with what we have been given

It's one day or moment at a time...

As you are reminded of how ironic it is

That a lot of the time the darkness is where you begin to see the light

Just like a seed planted, you need both to grow...

And sometimes there is no other option to be given or taken

To move and carry on from what once held you back and silent

Tolerance has a limit...

Love and care can and do end...

And second chances are not an automatic given...

Never mistake a persons patience for permission of disrespect

There is a place that is held above all else..

One that should never to be trespassed against...

You can only control your actions

And the reaction to it all

You own only yourself...

Keep your heart beautiful...

The world within you needs more of this.

In a year...

And in a day...

All moments gathering and collecting

Many we forget, while others are worth while remembering

Some pages within your life story do come to an end

While other chapters close without closure...

Among the many lessons learned you now come to know this one

As you learn to differentiate between your intuition guiding you, and your past traumas misleading you

Grant yourself the permission to feel all the feelings...

But don't become the entire emotion

Witness it...

Allow it...

Then release it...

Meet the challenge with grace and respect

Truth will always reveal the true connection

Work on your boundaries...

You can't be everything to everyone and nothing to yourself

Release the burden of holding on...

Let go of the people who are okay with losing you

Anytime you find yourself repeatedly giving more energy than you receive, step back...

Take inventory of the scene before you

You are within your right to take back your energy, your peace and power

Let go of the blame...

Find your strength again...

Choose patience with yourself

Even when you are overwhelmed by the unknowns

Don't carry your mistakes around with you

Instead, place them under your feet and use them as stepping stones to rise above them

Because choosing you...

Is never something you should ever have to apologize for.

Truth is the key...

Especially on all that fear and lies have tried to conceal...

Those honest moments open doors, which are always meant to be walked through

No existence can be fully lived by denying all that has brought you here today

Do your best to never cling to the past...

Because no matter how tight you hold on, it's already gone...

This is why you should never sacrifice yourself to burn, to keep another warm

Empty hands cannot give without holding onto your humanity first

Have the compassion and grace to know and understand the difference

Like most emotional wars, they are fought in silence

You've done the best you can with what you knew at the time

Don't let new wisdom condemn you over past struggles

Forgive and allow yourself to move beyond these moments

Focus your energy on answers, not excuses

Care does not simply vanish for another...

It diminishes over time when it is abused by the lack of appreciation

Change the view and perception...

Bare minimum is not effort...

Control is not caring...

Disrespect is not normal...

Respect should never be optional

Stop apologizing for surviving...

Keep the spark within lit, even when your hands are shaking

Never let the cold win...

You don't always have to know what comes next in your journey

Sometimes you just need to be where you are at

And to know that it's okay to be here

Existing and learning...

Accepting yourself as you are, right in this moment

Because finding some peace within yourself is just as important as the path ahead

To acknowledge that the future is there...

It's strange...

Just how easily some can judge...

Yet, find it so difficult to understand...

Because that would require them to give more compassion than hatred

And a willingness to believe in the positive more than the negative

Which now makes us realize that saying to be true when it is stated...

That people will always find a way of revealing who they truly are

And once seen, you must believe them...

No mask can be worn forever...

Time always decides who you meet upon your journey within life

Your heart decides who gets to stay

And their behaviour determines when they should be removed from it

To exhale what is no longer serving you well...

By breathing in truth...

Refuse to sacrifice your peace for those who only want a piece of you

Avoid the oncoming confusion...

Place those where they need to be appropriately placed

Sometimes its within your life, and sometimes its outside of it...

The pain can change and alter people in so many ways

Some become rude and hurtful...

While others simply become removed and silent

Your life does not work upon another beings terms

And just because you are struggling through it, does not mean you are failing

You are figuring it out...

Forgive yourself for giving them your best, when they only gave you their worst

The way they treat others says more about them, than your worth

Acknowledge the feeling of strange...

You are only human...

This comes down to self-preservation...

This awkward in-between phase of transition requires effort

To grow beyond what has once held you back and down

Makes this your pivotal moment

To accept the end of one thing...

In order to begin something new.

Sometimes...

The description for something eludes us...

There is no honest way to explain it...

But there is a line drawn...

Marking a distinct place where we should not pass or crossover

And the only people who really know where it is, are the ones who have gone over it

Never confuse what you are offered for what you are worth

Never let the darkness within another alter your light

Remind yourself of the truth...

That every monster that comes across your path was once human too

But that still does not excuse any or all of their actions

It does not give them the right to attempt to cause so much hatred within you

Take it as a reminder to yourself...

We are not ourselves when someone has trespassed across our boundaries...

We are not ourselves when we are in pain...

And we are not ourselves when we are emotionally exhausted...

Don't judge or punish yourself when you based a decision upon a misguided thought

Or believed in something when you could not clearly see...

Sometimes we find ourselves the collateral damage in a persons war waged against themselves

That we are left abandoned to wondering why or what to do

We cannot become a peacemaker without communication

Silence is only a grenade thrown by people who wish to cause more casualties

Rather than taking accountability for the role they have played in the destruction around them

We now must become unreachable to those who had access to us, then abused it...

It takes courage to leave behind what is not good for you anymore

And it's that same courage that will assist you in finding your way to what is

Choosing to believe that better days than this are yet to be is not denying how difficult life can be

It's refusing to let the hardest moments have the final word

Because one positive choice can change everything...

It can begin to alter all that is overwhelming into something possible...

We can be our greatest healer when we allow ourselves to do so

Grant yourself that permission...

Grow from the trust gained within...

As you begin to realize this momentum forward

How one brave step can redirect your entire story.

It's the difference now understood...

How you will inspire some...

And annoy others on your journey...

Live within all the moments, because regardless of what is being said, life looks good on you

Even if some moments try to kill you...

Rock bottom blesses you with a different kind of perspective

The will of survival comes with a flicker within

A spark forged out of necessity...

Reminding you that you always carry light, in spite of the darkness looming

Never forget that you are human...

Even if you just happen to carry it well

Acknowledge that the weight is heavy

Apologize to yourself...

For all the times you cared more about others than you did your being

For staying in places where you felt unwanted just because you were afraid to be alone

For letting people around you treat you badly, while you gave them your absolute best

Because you made yourself small just to fit into their narrow point of view...

For making excuses for those who never showed up to hold your hand when needed

Because past mistakes were more important to them than building a better future...

Even though you knew you deserved better...

Because you continued to hold onto those who are already gone

Take this reminder knowing what you do now

That you are a work in progress, you will get there a little at a time, not all at once

Break the circle...

We repeat what we do not repair...

Forgive yourself for the wounds you didn't create

Face what needs fixing or removing...

Taking a step away or back is not abandonment

It is making the decision to stop the bleeding in places that keep asking you to prove your worth

It is choosing silence when the noise has started to sound like your own name being misunderstood

Growth beyond a moment only happens when we take action

To trust yourself beyond this decision made

Acknowledging that you are allowed to protect you...

Embracing peace over chaos is self-respect in its purest form

And giving yourself this rest is not giving up...

It is restoring your being.

There are days that nothing happens...

Then there are moments that consume a single day...

And it can come with a pain that your voice is still trying to name...

As you sort through it all you begin to realize that a little broken, is not the same as unfixable

So stop tip-toeing around others feelings when they only ever stomp all over yours

Because when a being continues to act like they don't care...

You begin to believe them...

You are the author of your story

Edit each page and character as you see fit

We hold so tightly to the past because it never changes

Because here and now is never promised...

It is a choice waiting to be taken

Learn who you are outside the box you have been shrunken into

Commit to the transformation

Grow beyond expectation

Convert pain to power

And wounds into wisdom now understood

Don't trade authenticity for approval

Because there will always be opposition again you

Even when your intentions are pure, there will be people who misunderstand you

They will project their own pain and hurt upon you so they don't have to carry the weight

Then claim your too sensitive so they don't have to take responsibility for the hurt and pain they caused
