"Because Sometimes"

Sometimes...

People are not ready to see the bright side of things...

Sometimes, they need to sit with the shadows first...

To acknowledge the darkness within and around them...

Because denying its existence can be more harmful then good

So bear with them...

Sit with them holding the moments...

Help make the heaviness bearable...

Because it does take time to find sunlight again

To actually see it and believe it to be true...

To accept that the lost parts of yourself do deserve grieving

That it was never your own shadows that you were afraid of

It was those of expectations looming over your shoulders

To the point that the only thing you expected from living was pain...

That love, hurt, and blood all flow from the same vein...

Causing the heart to make a home within a place you ought to run away from

It is when this reminder is desperately needed to be given...

That it takes time to realize that you can't let go of what you refuse to feel

Because when all you know is chaos, the slightest change around you never goes unnoticed

The first step to getting anywhere is deciding your no longer willing to stay where you are

Every time you try to control another's path, you step off your own

We suffer...

We hopefully learn...

And we begin to change...

Because sometimes we do reply on hope

Like a bridge spanning a great distance...

Sometimes we are in need, while in other times we are the one providing the link to another

No one ever escapes the troubled waters of life...

Each day presents its challenges...

The choice always remains ours...

To be scared or to be brave...

Either way there are times in our lives when we could use a little help

And other times when we are given the chance to be that help to someone else

It really doesn't matter where you are right now...

What matters most is that you remember yourself

How receiving a helping hand is just as important as offering one

That its not only a chance given to live...

But to survive.
