It's that realization...

Most believe that silence is born...

When more times than enough, it is given...

Along with the abandonment in-between the difficult moments

Words get passed around

Reactions get swallowed

Time holds hostage the emotional storm within

Like all things under pressure, the breaking point looms...

And when it does, you are told that you are the only reason it broke

Your reaction is deemed as being incredibly rude

One of attention grabbing and dramatic

So why is it that no one notices sadness?

Not until it turns into anger inflicted...

Then pointed fingers blame the hurt upon the victim...

The story always reads same...

That some how the weakest being is wrong

That the fault is all their own...

Like they were given no other choice...

Even when we all know that disrespect does not simply happen

It is a choice...

This is why footsteps begin to turn away

To leave is not that you stopped caring

You walk away because you now understand that caring too much has kept you abandoning yourself

That the actions given were no longer enough to cover the cost taken

Now releasing all trapped emotions and feelings

You understand that are not more ahead or behind any other

Your choices are where you need to be

There is no timetable that must be followed

Sometimes there is no order to be taken

It is all a decision made

To be you...

And to be compared to no other.
