Before it can happen...

There is a choice to be made...

The first step in getting anywhere is deciding that you're no longer willing to stay where you are...

Every single being around you has a story

Pages within chapters of the history of their lives

Each filled to the brim with so many moments of living

Some equaled and balanced, while others push your limits to the extreme

And in times of doubt when you are left struggling...

Try to remember that there is nothing truly wrong with the core of your being

You are human, and you are still learning...

Or sometimes you are still trying to unlearn...

So many unreliable patterns and wounds you were told you should never let heal

Simply because it is now believed that it is your only identity

You must do your best to never form opinions of yourself based on a season of pain

Personal development only occurs when you choose accountability over excuses

You have the capacity to believe, now realize the difference when seen...

There is no rule saying you must accept the fact that someone stole parts from your being

They crossed the line, you didn't...

Making it beyond difficult to even think about repairing a bond you never broke

Some people are great at just giving you enough hope to keep you holding onto nothing

Disrespect will always close more doors than halfhearted apologies can ever reopen

Because for some, the hardest language for them to speak is the truth

This is why you must try to be wise enough to listen to what a person is not saying

Be prepared for rejection when you refuse to be manipulated...

Which tends to render our words of defense to nothing...

But thankfully they cannot misquote your silence...

Making you understand the lesson of forgiveness to yourself

That there is no tolerance for their behavior

And there will never be trust placed within their hands ever again

So allow yourself to be selective

Protect your time and being...

Not everything that calls your name deserves to be answered.

"Purpose in Choice"

 

Whatever happens tomorrow...

You still have today...

Never take the light for granted

Because darkness is always there lurking, at the ready to seep in when your guard is down

It's astounding that such an eagerness can exist within this world

That some beings wish to destroy you....

And then find your survival offensive

But understand this...

There is not one drop of your self worth that depends on what other people think or say

Actions always speak loudly, but silence is absolute...

It tends to be associated with the colour black

A defined meaning, strong and with great depth

It does nothing, yet seems to explain everything

And no one ever tells you that bravery feels like fear

Making you acknowledge the fact, just because you carry it well, does not mean it is not heavy

You are simply doing the best that you can in a time unknown

Do not condemn yourself to your struggles

Forgiveness of oneself comes when you move forward

Never believe the voices in your head

They only come from the words of others, ones in which you should forget...

Understand the meaning in choice...

Step back, step away, or release it...

Surrendering is not admitting defeat

Believe in the power...

Just like your heart beating, there is justification in choice

Find the being within...

Live it with purpose...

Make this the beginning of always

Because in a world obsessed by the climb to greatness

Be and allow gratitude...

For it is the pause within a moment...

Take the well deserved breath and exhale...

So you can appreciate the view.

"Believe Them"

 

With trial and error...

We come to know the difference...

That lingering thoughts hold too many moments...

And when things do not add up within a situation, we must subtract ourselves

We don't owe anyone a version of ourselves that keeps them comfortable, and leaves us exhausted

Our current or past struggles are not our identity

We are not too sensitive or overreacting

If it hurts us, then it hurts...

You are the author of you

No one knows our entire story...

Yet, some claim to know us completely, just by some words or a few actions

They only believe the parts that keep them right and what helps them sleep at night

Because if they would understand the truth, then they would have to change something within themselves

It's easier for them to think something wrong, than to make the effort to stand up for another being

And our intuition tends to know...

Once questions begin to be asked, answers will always be sought

Reality bears truth...

Making this another very hard lesson learned within our life

That when people treat you like they don't care...

We unfortunately have to believe them...

Resort priorities when and as needed

Stop giving people so much power over you that their silence leaves you questioning your worth

Because the worst part of self-betrayal, is always putting somebody's feelings before your boundaries

And despite the thought process, most people need acceptance more, before condemning advice

Change will happen when chosen

Allow the release...

Fight to keep the wounds healed

Clear the unsolved and all that use-to-be

You've made the hard choices...

You've done the work...

Now protect what you have created.

First it hurts...

Then you realize and understand...

And that is when it changes you...

Regardless of thought within any given moment

You have the power always...

This is all part of the greater story, not the end coming to claim you

Life is already hard with all of its in between moments

This is why you need to remove your presence from those who tend to make things worse

Making your choices into motions according to other's actions

Never judge a person on how they handle pain that you have never felt

You can live with scars, but not open wounds...

You must validate the hurt...

Your growth owes no one an explanation

Refuse to be disrespected by those who label you difficult

Simply because you stand up for your right to not be mistreated

Their inadequacies are not a direct reflection of you

Opinions of others does not equal your self-worth

Because tolerance can be a very thin line often ignored...

You may stand up for yourself in every way

Be the bigger person that you need to be

But that does not give unlimited permission to receive any type of abuse

Understand the sad reality...

That not everyone will be happy for you...

Because your change will only trigger and remind them of the things that they refuse to change

Speak your life with existence

Be your truth...

We all thrive when seen

And remember, forgiveness is usually more for you than them

It never requires reconnection after disconnection

Make your decision...

Be kind, be cruel, or be silent...

The choice is always yours.

Moments pause...

It all begins and ends within your mind...

What ever you give power to, has power over you...

This is why we should never confuse what we are offered, for what we are worth

The senses speak out...

Listen...

If it causes you to second guess yourself repeatedly, step back

Making that a legitimate reason to separate yourself from a person, place or thing

Stay only where your presence matters

Release those who wish to leave you when they want to go

Let it hurt...

Then allow allow the first steps of healing from it begin...

Remind yourself that you can let go of people who are okay with losing you

Because if they steal more energy than they give...

Step back, conserve your power, and spend your energy elsewhere

Let go of the blame...

Have courage in the peace found beyond them

Come to know the facts within change

You have now outgrown the version of you that tolerated too much

Never apologize for not allowing chaos entry into your life

Especially when you offered more, and they gave you less...

Trusting another is always our decision...

And them proving us wrong, is their choice...

As hard as it may be, we need to see things as they are...

And not as we wish them to be...

Which always brings us to the end of every story told

On a day when you realize that turning the page from this one to the next, is the best thing ever done

Because there is so much offered in life than the chapter you have been stuck upon.

There is a simple truth...

We will never have this day again...

Each minute passed teaches us the value of a moment...

It makes you realize one single importance

That nobody should have the power over you...

And once you recognize this shift, change in ownership is needed

This right will always belong to you

Repeat those words to yourself as frequently as required...

You are allowed to do what is best for you, even if it upsets people

Courage is knowing it might hurt, but doing it anyways

And bravery is that courage in action...

How many more situations can you afford, when all they do is bring out the worst in you?

Stop giving the healed version of you to those who have continually dismissed just how much they've hurt you...

They have now lost the right to have access to you, because they have chosen to abuse it

Honour the distance and choice within change...

As hard as it may be, take clarity when no explanation is offered

Especially when it seems that they are so committed to misunderstanding you

This version of you now has less tolerance for the things that you use to accept

You never owe anyone your destruction or ruin...

Refuse chaos from stealing your inner peace

Respond accordingly...

You have reached a point of no return...

You may not be exactly where you want to be

But you know for certain that you are doing better than before

And advancing in so many ways unseen...

Be proud of your growth

Value the math learned...

Calculate the future cost of now...

As you remember why you changed.

Fact...

Nothing last forever...

And this is the best and worst thing we can ever know...

Because at the end of it all, we may not know it all...

But we come to learn some things for certain

Like when the flow of energy changes

When it shifts and becomes strange...

It's an over generalization, but there is truth contained within it

We all stare into the mirror from time to time

What has changed?

The image or what is reflected within the person doing the looking?

We all tend to see the features we all have and not realizing all that is contained within the being

It's your presence carried that matters...

All the battles fought and won...

Nothing of that is usually ever shown upon your skin

You are always more than just a reflection...

There is a wonderful complexity never usually seen

And a capability that only has limits in which we place upon ourselves

This is why what broke you, can never heal you...

Remember that...

You had a purpose before someone had an opinion about it

You are reason enough to thrive...

Never allow those who don't care for you to manipulate your heart, mind and feelings

Let no other being control how you think about yourself

Deny them the power...

Accept people as they are, and place them where they belong

Brave is the decision to move forward...

The best time for a new beginning is now

Take a breath, centering yourself here in this moment

Have the hope in courage to allow the change

Because the fears we do not face, become the limitations holding us back.

We are all based upon a true story...

So be selective with the characters and narrative told....

Learn who to “know” and who to say “no' to...

Is what you are holding onto worth all the space it's taking up?

Everything has a beginning and an end

And one day you have to draw the line under it all

Addition...

Subtraction...

Or division...

If words and actions never seem to add up, then the truth is not included within the equation

Remember always, the way you speak to yourself matters

Accept the true colours seen...

Refuse to romanticize the hurt...

Repeated mistakes are not accidents...

That behavior is chosen...

Amongst all the hardship it takes a strong being to rebound from the warfare of the mind

There must be allowance for learning...

Give yourself grace to make mistakes and live beyond those choices

Release the harsh and pointed inner voice

Be willing to grow...

Like the seasons we change...

Allow the hurt, it needs to be acknowledged and heard

Plant seeds of happiness where sadness once tried to live

Shine light in spite of darkness

Peace is worth the journey

You are powerful enough to heal...

Your scars can be someone else's sign of hope

You are brave enough to rebuild after breaking

You deserve to be the one who saves you...

They are you...

It is what makes the depth of your compassion given

No one sees the world the way you do

This is your life in existence

Take care of you first...

Self-love means refusing to apologize for who you are

Embrace authenticity...

In the waves of change you can find direction

Release the unfair expectation placed heavily upon you without your knowledge or consent

Never play along with a narrative created for you

You are not limited to their narrow view of the world

The right of your being only belongs to you

You owe nothing to others...

End the loop of continuously beating yourself up over past mistakes

Live only now with the wisdom gained in the lesson learned

Give yourself permission to evolve beyond yesterday

Because so many in this world will tell you that you must strive for perfection first, before claiming your peace

You do not have to be whole to be worthy...

Healing and moving on beyond where you stand does not require wholeness

Worth is not a reward for having no wounds left...

Worthiness is your right...

You were never meant to have to earn it...

Perception and perspective...

Everything that you thought you couldn't handle...

You kept handling...

Simply because you are made of things that you never wanted to go through...

You are existence in all the moments

A series of transitions...

Dark to light...

From yesterday and into tomorrow...

Knowing better, to now constantly doing better, can be an entire journey on its own

You cannot use some else's map to find yourself

Those footsteps must be bravely taken by you

There comes so many realizations through understanding

Sometimes damaged things don't need to be fixed

They need to be accepted for what they have become...

Having to wonder where you stand with someone is unfortunately where you stand

Rarely do people change, they just continually show you who they truly are

Don't let them ruin your peace just because they cannot find theirs

And how do you even reach a person who fails to listen?

Or when they only see things through their emotionally blinded eyes and think with their anger?

When they do everything to dim your light, then ask why you are not shining...

This is why re-visiting the past is never a good thing for a reason

It may be familiar to you, but you already know the bitter ending...

It's the true test of limitations...

To be used and pushed to the point of breaking

Until the firm position is taken

You are enough...

You are never too much...

Because you were always enough...

You are worthy of more than what is being offered

Which now will help you release the hands that bruised you

Reminding you that you don't walk away from someone to teach them a lesson...

You do so, because you have finally learned yours.

It's the reality and truth of existence..

Just like the seasons, we are part of this motion...

Seeds are planted, and choices lead with a new hope born

This is how we grow...

Light to dark and day into night...

This is the transition of life we experience

Cycles and balances made by us, or without us...

This is why we must anchor our feet here in today

Forward motion is best when chosen

The past was a place to learn from, not to remain and live within

Be who you are, not who you are told to be

Focus on improving yourself, not proving other's wrong

Understand that you cannot change the view of another

Their opinion is not the definition of our being...

The harsh part of reality bares truth always

The lack of trust within care is hurtful...

The lack of empathy without apology is unforgivable...

And the lack of respect that follows will only bring closure...

We are seen as the villain in their fairy tale told, even when no fault can be made

Blame is passed onto another, and no one has to be held accountable

Because we are often reshaped into whatever fits their narrative within their story line

Leading us to the thought that tomorrow always becomes the expectation of better...

But what if you released it all today?

Be human and remember compassion...

Do not be the reason someone stops believing in the beauty of life

Refuse to use someone's broken as a weapon...

Understand that our own painful journey doesn't mean we have the right to become the source of pain in another...

Realize that there is something remarkable about a soul that has learned to turn hurt into healing

Because when facing those who only wish to do you harm...

Their chance of intent fades greatly...

Especially when the intended victim chooses survival above all else.

Maybe...

The dark days have made you strong...

Or maybe you were already strong, and these moments made you prove it...

It's amazing just how much personal growth we can go through in a seemingly small amount of time

Moments count into days...

Months fade to years passed by...

Change has taken a hold of who you use to be

You should never allow people you don't know, teach you to hate yourself...

And worse yet, to never form a final conclusion based upon pain...

If only we fought as hard to understand, as much as we do to disagree

Because sometimes, we are only ever collateral damage in someone else's war against themselves

“I'm sorry,” is not the same as, “I will change”

Get out of the habit of excusing all inflicted hurt by saying, “this is just who I am...”

Excuses only ever hide the truth...

Understand the power of words...

Your presence carries weight

Know your value...

Take responsibility for life

Work the problem by understanding the distinction in view

Toxic is toxic...

Never accommodate disrespect...

It is your right to choose your breaking point

You are allowed to walk away from that which constantly hurts you

Adjust your position with absence from the chaos, not your boundaries

This attitude taken is not selfish...

It is preservation of dignity...

By knowing the fact that you have now become harder to manipulate

Now, you will never confuse that difference again.

You are not broken...

You are human...

And sometimes pain does become visible...

Because bruises and scars show the severity, depth and the after effects...

Sometimes all cleverly hidden deep within and concealed by a smile

But that does not mean that you are not still alive, existing behind the facade

You are never warned about the bad days ahead

Each one just seems to flow into another

Until, the world inside you stops...

While everything around you keeps surging forward

No one teaches you really what to do when there in an abundance of darkness...

When it leaves you shaking from being haunted by the ghosts of the past

The hurt within trauma forces you to close up your heart of feelings with armor

These are the things you learn, usually the hardest way possible...

By breathing through the wreckage...

Taking one moment and step at a time...

It teaches you where your boundary lines should be drawn

The priority of self-care will show you its importance

And when ignored, it will ultimately kick you with the consequences really hard

Like you are always told, the easy is never available without the hard

The seasons of life have a way of testing your limits of strength

It always leaves you balancing out all the moments in between

With you now understanding the lesson that these hard things build the foundation for better things to grow upon

Because like all things, days always seem to turn into months

Months blur together with years...

And you are left wondering where all the time went

Remind yourself that you did the best, and are doing the best, with what you have and are given

Don't let the wisdom of now condemn you over your past struggles

Forgive yourself...

By allowing your feet to move forward.

Maybe this journey we are on is not about becoming anything...

What if it is all about unbecoming everything that isn't really you?

So you can be who you were meant to be all along

If your next shaky step forward is still taken

That is the seed of confidence planted

That alone in itself is bravery taking root at the core of your being

Because you have decided to chose the survival of you

Your gut instinct is not a liar

Those initial feelings exist for a reason

Process through them...

Are they valid or are they projections?

Never dismiss your intuition...

We all wish to be understood, but sometimes fail to understand

Just how much transformation can be painful

It takes a great amount of effort to give yourself permission to change

You cannot force puzzle pieces into places they do not fit

Even though holding on to the past is hurting

We all battle with that final release...

Sit with yourself processing the moments

Feel the presence within...

Begin to love yourself out of the dark

Realize the difference achieved and made

Finding the wisdom from healed pain

These are but fragments of life

Not the entire picture...

Or even the completed one...

Because the best part is, we are all continued works in progress.

Truth...

You are the only human being who knows everything that you have been through...

Everything that has been gained...

And everything that has been lost along the way

A lifetime of existence, layered and built, broken and saved

Sadly, there are those who wish you would fail...

They are the ones who gather dark pieces of you

Saving them up to use against you on those unfortunate days...

When your light is too big for them to see anything other than all the ways their own light does not shine

Pay attention to those who react with hostility and anger towards your boundaries

Found there is where the edge of their disrespect begins

Trauma is or can be memory...

It is also reliving the pain...

Trust within yourself comes from allowance

To give yourself permission to change

Shed the being of who you use to be

A reset and start over again transition...

To grow into the best version of you

Never forget how beautiful different is

Peace will always feel uncomfortable at first...

Especially when the only thing that you have been use to is survival mode

But as strange as it is...

Closure to things can come at the oddest moments

Now, months or years later...

It's that lightness of spirit felt on an ordinary day

Without prediction or planing there is a release

And for a first time in a long while, there is a deep exhale...

Setting you free.

Standing at the edge of a new chapter can be scary...

This is your story unfolding...

Hesitation and doubt can be felt...

Temptation to remain lingers, holding the baited breath...

But there is this momentum within you to keep moving, and to never return to any yesterday

Making this time now yours to own...

It tests your limits, but it is worth the effort put forth

Real growth happens in the spaces between who you were and who you are becoming

It's the journey of life, existence in every moment experienced

You are allowed to change the narrative

No one else gets to write the story of your life

Peace comes in the letting go of the heavy weight...

Releasing the past embrace and all that no longer serves you well

Allowing these moments now to be better than yesterday...

Because hope usually is the seed planted in the dark

Choice is not chance...

Change is not an excuse...

And motivation should never be manipulated...

Listen to your own inner voice rather than the random opinions of others

Don't confuse not needing much, with receiving the bare minimum

Questioning is where learning begins...

You are a human being, it takes time...

And just because it is taking more or less than anyone else...

Does not make it any different, or any less difficult

After broken is where you begin to heal...

Brave the darkness passing, the light is calling your name

You haven't made it this far just by chance

You have become the change you were seeking

There truly is no such thing as a being with no voice

There is only the deliberately silenced or those wished to never be heard from...

This is why we must be mindful of what we say

Words can be like tattoo-ed ink

Permanent marks upon anothers skin

Making forgiveness some of the hardest work we do

It requires a lot of strength in understanding and knowledge

To be able to stand upon our own feet freely and not hide behind the views of others

We are human...

Attachments get formed...

Pieces and fragments of us detach...

All scattering throughout reality...

Every person and place we touch or come in contact with has parts of us remaining

There is places where we once lived...

And there are versions of us that no longer exist...

Moments of life given and taken all within and through the seasons

All of which are searching and finding their way out or a place to remain

Constantly we are building and replacing parts of our being

Digging a little deeper and growing...

Working through the best and worst of daily living

We curate a wealth of positive memories

So on those dark negative days, we remain embraced with hope for a better tomorrow

Allowing our heart the strength it requires to remain present

Because pain can turn our lives ugly...

Be proof that surviving can be beautiful...

It's that gentle reminder given to yourself

You are trying and doing the best you can with your current circumstances

Hold yourself with kindness...

Release the heavy weight upon your heart and anything that does not allow you to be true

Remember that you are still learning...

There is no deadline on becoming you.

No one ever can justify the right to hurt you

It only ever becomes a very hard lesson learned

They teach you the depth in which you can be wounded

By leaving a human shaped hole within us...

A tidal wave of emotions...

And a hurricanes worth of change within...

Because most of our suffering comes from holding onto things that might have been, should have been, or could have been

Perspective and comprehension is key

The calmer you are, the clearer you are able to think

Sadly, there will always be someone who does not see your worth

Please, just don't allow that being to be you...

We all make mistakes

We do get it wrong...

Have the courage to see the difference

To be sorry...

Understand that change is possible

To look into the mirror and see more than a reflection

All the battles that you have over come are invisible

Hidden beneath the reflection

Is a human being trying.

A choice...

Breathing in and through all the moments

It's the compass within us pointing

Directing our feet in forward motion

Experiences make us wiser

Scars tell our stories

Effort is the worth given

To attempt to do our best daily...

By remembering the difference within our mindset

Like how easily we believe in our doubts rather than our abilities

If anything can matter, than everything can matter

And maybe, you are not lost...

Maybe you are just not currently where you want to be in life

Because there is two meanings to hope...

Have only positive expectations...

And hold on pain ends...

A few small cracks within you does not mean that you are broken

It just means that you were put to the test and you did not break

You are much stronger than the burdens put upon your shoulders

There is always the balance between the give and take

And oddly enough a choice in pain...

The one of regret or the one of discipline...

Forgive yourself...

For every time you gave someone the power to make you feel worthless, empty or afraid

You are nothing less than who you are

You are human...

And we do forget just what we are capable of

People are not born angry or sad...

Good things can fall apart

So better things can fall together

Heal your being...

So you can hear life truly

And not have to filter it through your past wounds

Deny access to that which has already hurt you

The mark and impression has already been made

Choices and chances are always given

How many do-overs do you grant to those who never change?

Because when all you do is forgive them...

You do so until you unlove them and no longer care...

Release the resentment

Only hold onto the very hard lesson learned

Yesterday is not a direction that should be taken

The past is only there to provide contrast

If you can see the darkness, then you can see the light

Open your eyes...

Take notice...

Speak to yourself with care

And be present...

Truth...

One we are never willing to share...

It usually gives us two options...

Let it be an excuse to fall behind or let it inspire our motivation

If you look for ways to fault yourself

Sadly, the way the mind works, we will either find them or make them

You cannot control how other's receive your energy

Anything and everything will always get filtered through their lens of perspective

Based all upon what has or is happening within their life

So remember...

Time is currency, we only get to spend it once

You cannot find yourself by using someone else's directions or map

Our footsteps forward are ours to own

There is a voice whispering within, don't ignore it

Or it will begin to try and get your attention in other ways...

Don't waste your words on those who deserve silence

Unfortunately, they are not listening anyways...

Making the most powerful thing said, is noting at all

Decisions made now come from knowledge, not judgment

Remember that truth reveals motive and intention

Manipulation can wear the face of compassion...

So remind yourself to have kindness for you

It's okay to slip-up, relapse, to make mistakes and fall down

Know that there is always ways to get back up upon your feet again

Power comes from how you rise...

Recreate yourself...

You have choices...

Think new thoughts...

Learn something new...

All you need to decide in this moment, is to never look back

Because today's accomplishments...

Were only yesterdays impossibilities.

The mind can fail...

At just how fast time can pass us by...

Depending on your choice of faith and belief

It can make your perception with the saying, “everything happens for a reason” different

Of course no one thinks that awful things were suppose to happen

But there has to be some sort of understanding taken from the root of it all

That some part of what has transpired within our life happened to teach us

Maybe to shape us and help us grow from beyond where we currently stand

To show us our strengths, not to just merely test our limits

Yes, we will hurt, there is no avoiding that...

Not every being who enters your life is meant to stay...

Subtle or harsh, things do happen for whatever reason they may be

And some answers may never be known to us

Which is why we need to let go of the fights that another being wishes to never be resolved

Hold true to you, releasing that which poisons you

Distorted opinions are not your problems to bear

Never apologize for stepping back from the chaos to restore and recharge your being

Self-care is not selfish...

It's a requirement of personal growth

Effort, attitude and your response to it all...

Are the three things you can control within your life

But it also makes saying goodbye one of the bravest, yet hardest words spoken.

Life...

Filled with so many memories...

Anchored within time...

With all of them showing us what really matters

You are more than your mistakes

If it makes you feel broken in any way, release it

Let the torment end, before it ends you...

Acknowledge the power within words and actions

They can shame a being, or liberate it

Crush hope or rekindle it

Break a connection or invite another in

It can create a defense in honour or end it all in complete ruin

Regardless, know the intention behind the motion

Your worth is not defined on how others treat you

That right will always be and shall always remain yours

We only have so much energy remaining within us each day to fight battles that don't really matter

Remind yourself repeatedly...

You are not the villain for choosing you...

Especially after being trespassed against...

You must do your best to be stronger than their disrespect

Because that is how it starts and keeps moving

To flourish from it rather than being buried by it

To see the potential there...

By respecting yourself with the balance of life

The give and take...

Along with the positive and negative...

It doesn't matter how slowly you build yourself up or rebuild

Just as long as you keep going and never stop

You are every storm that you have weathered

Every sunrise and sunset you ever witnessed

The result of every choice, decision, action and chance...

As you learn to appreciate the journey of existence

With intention and purpose...

Because you are every moment you have ever lived.

Sometimes....

Words fail...

Relying on actions to speak...

Which in the end, always reveals truth...

Difficulties will always arise when your voice is lost upon those who are not listening

But continually breaking apart for someone who will not even bend for you...

Will only ever leave you with a disappointment that transcends abandonment

Because you can never truly control the depth in which a wound is inflicted upon you

It all comes back to trust...

To allow another in...

Letting the outside world inside our emotional battle

All the while hiding how we are attempting to heal

For even that, we wish them not to see...

How quickly do we forget that we can grant ourselves moments of closure

Releasing the heavy weight bearing down upon our shoulders

Refocusing our sight upon things that are begging for our attention

Reality always bears the truth

What ever we are refusing to change, we are choosing...

The sun will rise and set regardless

Our choice is what we do with the time and light

Even the moon is brave enough to shine within the dark

The struggle is real...

We need to acknowledge our power...

You can be a fighter and still have pain inside you

Use it for fuel for inspiration

You can be brave, but still need a break from it all

A chance to regain strength...

Yes, tomorrow is another day

But you are here and now, living...

You are only human

Validate the hurt...

Promise to keep trying

There is still time...

So take as much as you need.

You are who we are...

Because you have survived the darkness...

Making you the end result of all the choices having to be made...

Your light shining will always irritate those who continuously cast shadows

If you are observant enough, people will usually tell you who they are the first time

There is no need to dig through the things never said, or translate the actions that never happen

You cannot expect honesty from those who are even lying to themselves...

Mistreating people willingly, then acting like they betrayed you, is delusional...

In what reality would anyone except being treated that poorly?

Honour your boundaries...

You cannot be everything for everyone and nothing for yourself

Stop giving do-overs to those who only ever treat you as leftovers...

Remove yourself from that which drains your mental health and causes it to repeatedly suffer

If it depletes the life out of your body, it removes your ability to self-care...

It is never easy...

We all bear wounds of the battles fought and avoided

Understand that you are under no obligation...

Unconditional love does not mean unconditional tolerance...

You are not weak because you need to take a break

Exhaustion is real...

And when struggling to find purpose

Listen...

Time will reveal...

Humble yourself in this moment

Wipe away tears...

You are not powerless...

Rescue your being from a path you no longer wish to travel

Forgive yourself for not knowing what you did not know at the time

Because when you know better, you are able to learn better

Making you more well equipped to fight for yourself.

Bad news...

A lot can change in a year...

Good news...

A lot can also change in a year...

Making this statement not one of boldness

But one of a matter-of-fact...

We have the right as human beings to see our emotions through...

We are allowed the right to anger...

Especially when the justification of cause is truth

Sort through the distortions of those who fail to see...

Line by line we need to dig through the stories told

Some shy away from the bright light

Just so they can keep the onlookers in the deep dark

Because their motive is to never put effort forth to clear another's name

They are too eager to claim righteousness and being falsely accused

By continuously ignoring their ownership of the fiction repeatedly told

That they flip the script of history already written...

Perpetrator becomes victim

And victim is shamed for standing up for the protection of their being

This is why you will never get the truth of word or action from a narcissist...

The closest you will ever come is yet another story told

One that makes them the forever misunderstood, by fault of those who they have broken

Which causes even more anger to breed in the open wounds

Casting bitterness beyond our sight

And just when you think there could be nothing more...

Those who attempt to balance the scales between the bad and innocent

Blur the lines drawn...

Silencing the hope placed in the comforting embrace sought out

Giving the benefit of the doubt to those who have harmed you is the worst type of betrayal

Mercy for the guilty is only ever cruelty for the innocent...

Because there is no other pain known when you watch those who have trespassed against you

Receive support from those who once held your confidence.
