"True Story"

  

We are all based upon a true story...

One of moments gathered together within existence...

From what use-to-be, to everything that we know now...

We realize the hard parts about certain decisions made

That as we grow through life we live by learning

Especially when so many parts of us tend to be attached to so many feelings

That if we want change, we have to stop inviting chaos in...

To end the sacrificing of our future because we keep on digging up the past...

We tend to see ourselves more at our worst, instead of celebrating us at our best

Yet how quickly do we rip out so many parts of ourselves to be cured of pain faster

That we exhaust every one of our emotions, just to attempt to return ourselves to what we use to call “normal”

That we would rather make ourselves feel nothing, just so we don't have to feel anything at all

It is a tough view to see and remember...

A harsh reality is always better than any false hope given

Sometimes we have to except the burden of pain, because it begs to be acknowledged...

And live as best as we are able, before and after all what has been

The truth hurts only once, but a lie hurts every time you remember it...

There are three things in life that leave us and never return

Words, time, and opportunities...

Draw the line between choice and option

Stop judging other's situations that would have you ruined in pieces

Own accountability and stop making issues out of a reaction that you caused by your actions

Refuse to lose yourself while trying to love someone...

Because being abandoned or given up on is the most devastating emotion we can cause in another human being

Do your best to lead with care and kindness

Offer this gesture of a helping hand...

The impact behind it has unlimited outcomes

You may not be able to turn bad days into better ones

But it shows the beginning of something, rather than nothing...

We may not be able to lead, but we can stand beside one another

Acknowledging the strength it takes to reconnect with your power within

That maybe there is a bright side somewhere down the line...

But for now, we can sit with one another in the shadows

Holding space...

Offering a bit of beauty amongst the all darkness cast.
