"Before Now"

 

Change...

Like sunrise through the darkness...

Everything that was yesterday now echoes through time

Each moment we breathe life into our being

So we may understand the feelings coursing through our veins

Love or loss...

To heal the hurt...

And to be at peace with it all...

Today is existence

Tomorrow is unknown

All waiting upon a decision to be made

We hold so tightly to some memories because they never change when everybody else does

This is why we tend to find ourselves a little lost

Trying to remember ourselves before who we are now

Sometimes people refuse to apologize for the harm they have caused

Because admitting that they hurt someone will destroy the version of themselves they believe in

This is why we must notice the difference in people

Either they are a reflection of a repeated cycle...

Or they are guides towards a new start...

We just don't simply walk away from another being to teach them a lesson

We do so because we have learned ours...

This is where our understanding is made

Give yourself permission to be where you are

Be the person who still tries after failure, frustration, or disappointment

Be the person who musters up the courage once again to try

To believe that a new attempt can manifest a new outcome

Be the person who still tries...

Always.
