"We Are Moments"

These are the moments

Each breath...

The in's and out's

Ups and downs

All steps taken

What has been given

And that which has been taken away...

This is our path

Of our making and creation

From what has been brought forth by us

As well as against us

We are in control of how bright we shine

Or how much we allow others to dim our radiance

We are our choices and actions

But we are not our thoughts

The sun will rise...

And set...

Reminding us that there is beauty in ending

And that light always follows darkness

Its our will and conviction to not forget this

To live the moments of our daily lives

Each day is given

But not promised...

Trust in the wisdom of those who have gone before us

Heed the warnings

Trust your truth

And above all else

Believe in you.

At year end

These are the days counted

Filled to the brim with moments

Added... Remembered... Divided and decided...

Never regret the ones that made your heart smile

Remember the ones that taught you lessons learned

Life is forever the teacher

And we are the learning student

Be present... Be now...

Fan the flame of connections made

Rise above the moments that hold us still

For we must be more than what we suffer...

As we bare reflection to moments passed

There comes a time when there are no words of description to be had...

Or actions made...

Sometimes, one must simply stand beside another being...

Honoring their presence

By keeping a deep embrace waiting when needed

Whether its solace... A memory... Inspiration... Or validation...

Approach these moments with vigor, passion, and conviction

Give it your life

Its our story

The way we are made

And how we got to where we are today

So if a moment is all you got...

Then let shine bright your inner light

As we exist within the moments lived through the seasons.

"Immunity..."

It only takes a single moment to make someones day

And one word to destroy someones life...

Do not proclaim unity

Yet deny and fail to involve a select few

We are all on this path called life together

In hesitation

Others find answers

Mistrust can be contagious

So many fail to shine bright

Instead they cast shadows

Not light...

Which action will make you most proud?

What deed will you be remembered by?

Do you offer more?

Or do you only take?

Do you plea for change?

Or do you make it so the darkness does not end with the night?

What is the greater good?

Or the worst crime?

Choices make us

Written in history is the words and actions we cannot change

Can you afford the debt of someones life?

Because some things should not come to pass

Like a being leaving this world...

Because of it...

To find ones self

We cannot base that image

Within the reflection of another being

We cannot add up all the broken to make us whole

Put your hand to your heart

Feel the pulse...

Life lives there

Self hate is too heavy of a burden to carry with you...always...

Let it go...

We are all travelers upon the same path

Pay attention...

Please...

Rise up

Offer a helping hand to those who may be quietly reaching

For it only takes a moment to ask, “Are you OK?”

Mind your actions

Take choice in words

If all that you can do

Is all that you can do

Then do it...

It will honor the place you stand

For life...

For those we love...

For your fellow man.

The moon shines white

A starless night

Actions abandon

Feeling burns

The last message received

Is carved in stone

The reason I now stand here alone...

Because you could not understand the damage done

All promises failed

Bringing this detour to a dead end

Teaching me the greatest lesson in loss

Trying to forget someone you loved

Is like trying to remember someone you never knew...

Bringing forth a wave of emotion

Reminding me that the most painful tears are not the ones that fall...

Covering the face...

They are the ones that bleed from your heart...

Covering the soul...

Sad moments are part of reality

And realization...

Some people may stay in our hearts

But cannot stay in our lives...

There are better ways to live than to be in constant conflict with your inner being

The world and life are just that

Heavy...

Chaotic...

And busy...

What happens challenges us

All moments connect

Our story is being written as we live it

It happens with us...

Or without us...

Its how we were made

Its how we got to where we are today

Nothing is ever gained with constantly tearing yourself apart

Battled within war

Like a storm upon the horizon

Pain can come swiftly

But just like all bad weather

By the light of dawn

This too shall pass

Clouds of gray will part

The sun will shine strong once again

You will do well to remember that there is a fire burning bright within you

That is why you should not fear the darkness

Not everything that you loose is a loss...

Find your place and your voice once again

Use it

Break the silence...

For we are forever learning

And life...

Is the teacher.

We are the difference

And the change we make

Happiness is not perfection

Its looking beyond the imperfections

We must do our best to break the cycle

And the darkness...

This is how light will shine in

Poor choices..

Mistakes...

And other peoples insecurities are not the burden of others to bare

Discussions are made for building

Debating...

Fixing and clearing the air

Wasted time on listening spent

To only hurtful words spoken

Because silent tears always hold the most pain

Do your best to repair your broken

Before it adds to another...

Breaking them too...

Fix it or forget it

Because in your hesitation

Another will find their final answer

That sometimes forgiveness is granted

Apology is accepted

But to trust again is denied

Making their response to the silence...
