Everyone is looking for someone...

Or something...

Sometimes we find ourselves in the spaces in between

We dream and dream...

And confusion plays with our fragile thoughts in our mind

Suddenly, reality becomes the dream

The fight that we are fighting becomes so much bigger than the people having it

We are finally able to flee the darkness that is holding us back

We pick ourselves up

And dust off the dirt of the past

We look straight ahead

But we still waiver

In broken moments...

Our imagination pulls us back in

Shattering all trivial events, feeling, and emotions like glass

We know that we should watch our step

To avoid and eliminate the pain

But our tears catch the sharp edges

Captivating our foolish hearts into believing that we deserve nothing more than unhappiness

To be forever lost and alone...

Balancing the heavy blackness.

"Done Waiting..."

It all seems to start with a claim...

A title...

Or a name...

Two players want to play the never-ending game

Empty actions distract you from true intentions

This kind of pain and heartache only causes you to lose hope in love

Anger pulls...

And jealousy blinds you with illusions

But my mind is not your mind

My actions have been nothing but true

No deception, lies, or mistrust

The space between us cannot be ignored

But all the same...

Does the emptiness beg to be filled with a broken heart?

Because mine is not too keen on breaking

So why does it have to come down to this?

We are not children

And games are meant to be played upon a board

So stop gambling with my emotions

And playing games with my heart

Because I am simply done...

Waiting...

"A Different Day"

Gently within the casting shadows

We see a soft dim light break

The image of you lingers within the memory of our sight

As our senses hold onto you-their last indulgence

Each day seems to draw out a little longer

Moments are recalled during those times when the suns last rays go down in the far west

Where the warm beating sun meets the calm blue horizon

And the flame of remembrance still burns bright and true

Some day we will figure out the seasons of our lives

Because there is a time for the grief of love that has no place to go

Even though we may falter sometimes to remember those who have left

They are never truly gone

They stay with us always

Ingrained within our daily lives

Helping us...

Holding us...

Guiding us through...

Steadily you wander down the lonely track of life

With one foot in front of the other

The direction is unknown

Time waits for no being

But here...

These moments linger briefly in the warm sun filled days of early July

Senses are abandoned to the vast surroundings

Imagination runs free

Held tightly by fierce convictions

Your soul is filled with yearning

Everything is in a moment

Change is every where

In a single second

This is the closest a being could get to perfection

Then blinking...

With the swift uplifting wind...

Disappearing just as easily.

Life happens all of the time...

And is made of many moments

Some push us to the limit of understanding

Leaving us frozen

As if no second chance will be given

But maybe your not broken...

Maybe you are just temporarily dismantled

Awaiting the right parts and pieces for assembly

Because for some reason, we sometimes forget more than we remember

So take this moment...

Plant your feet firmly to the ground

This is where you stand

Let the tears of suffering rain down

Washing away the pain

Let the death of the darkness carried within

Give birth to the new you

A being glowing bright light

Just beneath the surface of your skin

Reach out...

Make that mark in time

Claim your place within it

Dream and believe

Have hope...

Make your self a promise and take the dare

Keep a weather eye upon the horizon

For the future awaits there

Giving the heart a place to focus upon and look forward to

Don't speak in a borrowed voice

Use your own uniquely to you

Because you do have something to say

You deserve this

Happiness is priceless

That is why its worth is limitless

Courage is in the next step taken

You are a reason enough to be brave

Making all actions taken now

Better than any words spoken.

Lost in the broken pieces

Trying to find the light on the other side of darkness

Words fail to reach out

Holding onto the moments passed

A sense of loneliness weighs upon the soul

Feet drag upon the floor

Direction unknown...

A voice simply screams to keep moving

If you are to make this your last stand

Then take everything that you have into your hands

Make a fist...

And fight with every last breath

Giving birth within death

To a new hope

And a chance taken...

Because every minute is not just a moment

It's 60 seconds of endless possibilities.

To Run...

Footsteps falter

Or its caged within the corridors of the brain

Clawing at existence

From darkness to light

Fed by the senses

Beaten raw by the things that use to be...

Hanging onto each moment by its fingertips

Like its the edge of life

We are at the mercy of time

Waiting...

Will all be revealed?

Or will be forced to dig deeper

Like mining...

To strike deep at the core

Trace the root

To where the breeding nightmare makes birth
