A connection made

Between the being and the heart of another

Time fills the empty

Smiles smooth the unsteady and fear

The secret comes from the knowing

A reflection of parts of yourself within another

Making the effort well worth the wait

Stealing in the warmth and excitement

We are for the better

The steps we have taken alone

Now create the path we walk together.

It's the feeling of a wish that you need to undo...

The hands that touch tenderly

And pull back in fear...

It's the beautifully bright smiles that only ever stay as straight lines

Hopes grow, but the dreams are never fed

Because some days, words seem to bare more weight than actions

Multiple hints are dropped

But nothing is ever caught

Courage fades before there is ever even hope

Regrets are birthed before any choices are ever even made

And secrets are never able to be kept in the untold

Because devotion has dwindled to something that is very fleeting

Nothing seems to be anchored in anything anymore

Everything has begun to fade

Trust without assurance is tainted

Tenderness revoked is left tarnished

A chance upon multiple chance is never taken

So many bonds are never even forged

Because what could have been...

Is lost...

To you...

Those who never tried.

Our world slows to a stand still

I listen to the words you are not saying

Reading between the lines...

I draw a sharp breath to what I hear...

Even with all of our moments added together

The image of us seems to fail to be seen within the minds eye

Where everything now means nothing...

And everything that use-to-be now stares me down

Haunting my footsteps that I take

Abandonment seems to be the only option

Sadly... its what has to be

Bringing us to the end of the road we share

So it's time to stop pretending

Be the truth that I need

Release my heart

Disconnect our embrace

Make peace with what has to be

Because I know its not me that you are wishing for...

So I hope you find it

Whatever it is you are looking for

Because its not me...

Not now...

We are these moments

Senses lead...

Some follow the mind

Others follow the heart

Where ever our footsteps lead

Plant them well

Anchor yourself there

A solid foundation made

The secret is in the knowing

That happiness is what it means to you

Not what others think you need or deserve

We are not others beliefs or convictions

We are own our humanity

The care taker of our soul

The light burning within...

Cherished or reckless

We are us

Free...

To be or not to be us

Do not ask me to relive the hardest parts of my life thus far

To receive my advice or counsel

Because I will...

Make your own decisions

But please...

Do not feel let down that you did not come up with the same result as I

Nothing and no one can change you

Not until you change yourself

Though we cannot control the words that come from other peoples mouths

We can take action against our words told to them

So they may not be used against us

Bad times wake you up to the good stuff

The things that you weren't paying attention to

Sometimes things end...

For no other reason than that

Sometimes saying or hearing the words, “I understand”

Can mean more to a person than any earthly measure can

Remembering that the words “later” and “some day” are things that usually never happen

Remember that...

Because words of action are always better...

Than silence.

Hear the piano notes play

Notes struck...

Heart strings plucked

Bringing the senses alive

Memories draw

Cascading through the mind

Golden treasures held dear

We are the music lived

The soft melody chimed

The highs and lows...

The silent pauses in between

All living within or outside the lines

Creating our own master piece in time

Reminding us that life is here and now

In every moment...

That you awaken curiosity, imagination, and chance

You cannot teach it

We are the care takers of the light within us

And that fight you carry deep within you

Is a warrior...

Always ready to show up for battle

Life and its various moments always play out in many shapes and forms

So cue the chorus

Play it loud

And burn bright.

Look at life as if you were setting sight upon it for the first time

Watch on with a positive optimistic view

Indulge yourself completely

The world is at your feet and its for the taking

Life is knocking upon the great door of your being

Feel the awakening...

Stand tall

Make your mark upon this universe

Your fate is within your very own hands

Go now, join your fellow man

Covet your choice in life to live

Go out onto this world and be free

Be who you want to be

Anchor yourself with firm and stable roots

Grow...

Plant numerous more seeds of creativity, diversity, and common respect

Its ultimately your decision

But hesitate and linger no longer

Because no soul deserves to be jailed within submission

Step back, look, feel, and listen to the profound sounds of your life
