"Fail To See"

Words linger

Moments pause

I look upon the person before me

I wonder how these feelings have come to pass

That the face I see belongs to someone I use to know

Vision blurred

My eyes fail me

I am unable to pin point exactly where things changed

Like a lot of things in life

If its not suddenly...

Then its so gradual

You barely notice

Maybe its something I chose not to truly see

Never-the-less, I am found here

Searching for the proper action to take

Emotions are heavy

Bonds of friendship flex

They are about to show their true test of strength

My words fumble...

My hands can barely hold onto the change

Stronger labels such as hate need not apply

Though I am fully disappointment with you turning into everything you said you would never be..

Conversations have turned

You now talk at me

Instead of to me

And fail to see the difference there

As I remind you once again...

Acceptance is nothing without acknowledgment.

"Spirit Of Christmas"

As the seasons transition from one to the next

We find ourselves here

Another year soon gone

A new one about to begin

Time continues to do what it does best... move on...

Days and months have merged together

So many moments of life gathered up

Adding to our memories

Golden treasures of the heart

Keeping the soul warm and our life rich

This holiday season reach out to those who may be reaching

But are not brave enough to ask for a helping hand

Mend the broken bonds torn by pride

Reconnect with those we have passed by upon the path of life

Take a few moments for yourself

Breath...

Reflect...

To do those things you rarely do

Make a promise to yourself and others

To laugh more

To smile

Find inspiration in the little things

Because they are usually the first things we forget

Let the spirit of Christmas fill you

Count the blessings of life

Honor those who are no longer with us with deep remembrance

Stand united and celebrate as one

Pull into you the warmth, happiness, and light

Peace to you this twenty-fifth of December

Mixed with laughter and special times

Shared with family and friends

"The Line Of Life"

We are the sum of all the multiple choices we make

Some day to day

Others for survival...

A few others are not so easy...

The daily grind can hit you hard

A few steps may turn into a climb

Footsteps may falter

When your pushed and pulled to the brink of madness

The edge of no where appears

Numb to the core

And a cure seems so out of reach

You will grasp onto anything to calm the emotional hurricane raging within

As you desperately look for a mast to anchor yourself to

To throw a block underneath you

Anything to stop the erosion

With remembrance and survival in the fore front of your mind

Life is worth the fight

Let the guardian angel above you embrace you

And the devil within release you

Be part of the many movements that are life

Around your heart is where you should draw the line

A safe guard, just in case

Though be forever mindful not to put more barriers or road blocks in the way

Be proud of the person you know yourself to be

Please do not hate yourself to be loved by another

Because if you leave life to others to live

Happiness will be forever fleeting

Fix and create your own

And you will know the path to take

Learning some of the life lessons you need to know along the way

We are all stories in the book of life

Think of how you would like your life to be told

And to be read.

"Ever Mindful"

The day is done

The sun has set

Time for me to rest my weary head

My mind drifts over the many moments of the day

Lost in reflection...

Many things come to mind

Both in realization

And thought

Somethings happen for us

Others happen against us

There are so many things I know for certain

With no doubt or fear

I am proud of the person I know myself to be

I have passion

I have reason

We all keep certain parts of ourselves hidden

Secrets locked away deep within

Sometimes there are very select few who actually get to see all of us entirely

Hence why we must manage our choices with care

How they affect ourselves

And how they affect others...

To be ever mindful with remembrance

As yesterday becomes today

Today is another day awaiting to be lived

And tomorrow is where more memories can be made.

"Becasue We Care"

Sometimes silence can be the loudest sound

We can either hide in the shadows

Or put forth a fight

Standing in the light...

We are the keeper of that choice

Sometimes all we can ever do is be present

Be there for a person

Because there are things in life that we do automatically for others

Not for reward, special treatment, personal gain, or even asking for something in return

We do things for others because its the human thing to do

Its the right thing to do...

And we do it because we care

So reach out

Hold onto those who are near

Friendship is the bond that helps keep us sane

Saving us from a many of things in life

Be forever mindful

Always.

"Weight Of Life"

We all hide something deep within us

Sometimes its from others

Or its from ourselves

It may carry a deep truth that we are not ready to hear

Even though we bear the heavy weight upon our shoulders

We endure...

Is it fear that drives us?

Or is it something more

Whether its past or present

Life cannot be avoided

For it is for the living

A decision has to be made

Are you hiding?

Or existing?

"Last Interaction"

Moments have come and passed

The months have been counted

My steps have moved forward

Letting what has been fade into the rear view mirror of life

Change has come

Time has found me here

With strength

And the will of survival

It took me a long time to move passed “us”

Even longer to pick myself up from the place you left me...

Some times we only have one chance to do things right

And when things fail...

A marker is made in history

Never to repeat those feelings and emotions again

We all unfortunately except the love we think we deserve

Rather than what we actually need

We are not perfect people...

Hence why we are always continued works in progress

From love...

To something once treasured...

You are now nothing more than a fellow traveler in life

And honestly, I wish you well

Making this our last interaction

Heed this realization with thought

Take with you the wisdom in these words...

Choices are options...

Making decisions is reality...

Finality...

Life.
