"Understand the Difference"

There comes a time...

When that exact moment hits...

An understanding of your surroundings is made clear...

We all have these lines that we do not cross

But then we do...

And suddenly we come to know that we possess some very dangerous information

That you can break this rule and the world will not come to a screaming end...

The once big black bold line is now reduced to gray

And every time its crossed, it fades a little more...

Until one day, you look around and wonder...

Was there a line ever there?

We are the guardian of our being and this is an act that should be corrected

One of our greatest awakenings will happen when we realize that not everyone changes

And that is their choice embraced in this journey we are living

It is not our position within it to fix them...

Beneath it all we to have scars that are not seen

There is parts of a story that never get told out loud

Some see happiness...

While others believe the facade...

Clarity comes with self-awareness

Don't encourage false emotions

Allow them to be felt...

Disconnect the anchor to the past that no longer serves you well

Future is forward

Let the feet lead

Look at the image within the reflection of the mirror

Clear the air and speak the words, “I am not giving up on you...”

Positive or negative...

Understand the difference...

Breathe and believe it to be.

Sometimes nostalgia hits hard...

The mind reflects over the past...

Moments and memories...

Filled with emotions so vivid and real

We find our cheeks wet with tears...

The days passed have added so many years

And still, we do forget our place

Some footsteps linger upon the path behind us a little longer

Our vision blurs...

Some experiences tell us we should unpack our life here

Residing in the middle of it all

Until we even forget ourselves a little

We are human...

Our thoughts impact our lives

Know the difference in position

Success does not mean the final step taken...

And failure is not that they have ceased in movement

Courage given is hope

To trust in faith is to move again

Placing understanding as a foot forward within the journey that is life

Stop attempting to bury yourself here

Disconnect the anchor to what use-to-be

Your presence has power

Take a deep breath...

Clear the air...

Breathe...

Realize the illusion of perfection

The little things do add up

And they do matter...

It's all about perspective

Remember...

Turn the page of today into tomorrow

Trust the next chapter

Because you are the author of this story lived.

"Proof"

 

Hold this moment...

Let it sit with you...

Breathe...

The fact that you are still trying, is proof that you are strong

And just because it's taking time...

Does not mean it's not happening...

You are not a mess for feeling too much

Emotions are meant to be felt

And some even demand to be heard...

Listen to them as they speak

It's what makes you human

You are a being within reality

Worthy of clarity and understanding

Because constant uncertainty simply causes too much doubt...

Pay attention to when people react with anger and hostility towards your boundaries

Found there is the place where you are overlooked

And sadly, it's where the edge of their respect ends...

Forgive yourself for what you could not see

A good heart doesn't necessarily see all the bad head

Remember and realize that there are limits to what we can do, even under the best circumstances

Learn to change with the seasons...

Giving allowance to adaptation

Letting hope light the way through the darkness

Exist for yourself...

Never forget that this life is yours and no one else's

Your value is not expendable at the expense of others

Especially when it harms you more than it helps

A lot of things may get forgotten or left behind

But at the end of the day...

Please, don't forget about yourself

Because you are the greatest reason for living.

We are human...

We all have hearts...

But we often forget why they beat...

There should be no shame in expressing your authentic feelings

And it should never be perceived as a sign of weakness

To feel is to have compassion...

Embrace that feeling

Hold it true...

Let it marinade within you

Silence is more powerful than proving a point

It's okay if you do not feel hopeful every minute of every day

The important part is that you are trying

With best intentions in the making

Trust your process rather than others opinions

Because those who hurt you, should not be able to dictate how you are mending your wounds

Some of the strongest people are the ones who fight a quiet battle that we know nothing about

Don't let people who do so little for you, define so much of your life

Don't let pain turn parts of you ugly...

Be proof that surviving can be beautiful in its own way

Because sometimes we do lose ourselves in the midst of it all

And that's okay, because that is part of learning

By remembering to comeback stronger than your setback

To have courage in being yourself in a world that wants you to be like everyone else

And if the mind always seems to believe everything you tell it...

Then feed it with self love...

Because if you got asked to make a list of things to take care of

How long would it take you to name yourself?

Allow the tears shed to show you the new path ahead

Hope is found after the darkness turns to light

You are this new horizon of tomorrow coming

Understand the choice and difference made

Healing yourself doesn't mean the damage never existed

It means that you no longer give it permission to control your life.

Moments and days...

Added together...

Counting the minutes...

Makes us realize the place where we stand

That being strong doesn't mean you have to fight every single battle

Sometimes it's knowing the difference

To step back and walk away...

Especially when enough becomes enough

Reality exists here...

It is taught and never bought

It can be manipulated and manufactured

To present itself as something not real

But at the end of it all, you either are, or you are not...

We are the choice

Present today...

Living in memory of the meaning understood

With hope given and embraced

You are not the war trying to knock at the door of your being

Hold strong...

Honour the gift within life that is you

The hardships...

And the lost within grief...

Remember, recover and heal...

Forgiveness may come to pass

But the lesson taught to you will never be forgotten

You may not be able to control someones negative behavior

But you can control how long you participate within it...

Sometimes we have to brave the dark in order to be able to stand within the light

You can say, “no,” and not have to provide a reason or excuse

You do not have to negotiate your value with anyone

Because you are worth it...

Always have been...

And always will be.

Sometimes...

There are moments...

So brief, and yet so poignant...

From the energy of flowing emotions it raises your inner being up

While others completely disconnect you from reality

Leaving you emotionless...

Almost indifferent

We are human...

We listen...

We remember...

And we try to forget...

Some learn easy, while others only learn the hard way

Lessons learned from our making, or taught by others

Remind us of only one thing proven

People have a lot to say about lives they've never lived

Simply because they cannot reciprocate what they have not been given

Or what they wish to give themselves...

Because those who are at war within cannot give you peace

Those who betray themselves cannot give you loyalty

And those who lie, cannot speak honestly...

Making us see them for who they are, and not for who we wish them to be

This is why we must focus on the changes we can make

And that which we can control

Attitude...

Effort...

Choice...

The power is within your hands

Ground yourself before climbing

Plant your roots deep...

People who are able to heal themselves have connected with the spirit within

Defeating the darkness embracing their soul

It's within the allowance given we are able to rise from the depths

Wisdom found becomes strength

It cultivates a spark

Creating a light that shines bright

Which offers inspiration on those cloudy days.

Daily...

We are presented with a choice...

To evolve or remain the same...

There comes this soft and gentle reminder

That not everything that weighs you down is yours to carry

Allow yourself to let it go...

Forget to remember the tainted passion of hate

Live life beyond that moment and into the next

It's our decision made...

Do you remain unchanged and settle for the same thing?

Stuck within a routine of storms and situations that never release you

Until you learn, even a little...

To break the circle of spinning...

Because that is the beginning...

One footstep forward beyond what holds you back

As you venture into the realization made

That you can connect with the strength within

By moving beyond the confines embracing you

This breath taken will lead you into the next...

You will awaken those things that have remained dormant

It becomes a state of mindfulness...

A safe place where our thoughts and actions merge together

As we decide to take them to heart, or let them go...

Because its the difficulty now known

So many of us are willing to extend a helping hand

But we are reluctant to reach out when we need it ourselves

How is it that we have divided the world?

“Those who offer help, and those who need help...”

When in reality, we are and can be both...

Its just that somewhere along the line we confused things

Because of necessity we built walls to keep others out

By protecting what was left within...

And we abandoned healing outside the line.
