"Perspective Known"

 

It's this moment found...

After so many struggled footsteps...

Of mistakes...

Stumbles...

And so much uncertainty...

A battle waged through the years

Has the months and losses counted

Yet the soul continues to ask...

Even when the answers follow the questions

If the difficult can simply be

Then why not change the action?

From the lesson comes the allowance in choice

A permission granted to breathe

Now places an anchor within, a pivoting point to move on from

With sight regained the view clears an embraced heart

The mind now understands that we are not just some broken thing

There is worth and reason within this being

From this growth a decision comes to be

Pages have turned...

One chapter is not the entire story told

Perspective is known

We are the only keeper of the light within

Acknowledge the power carried by our hands

Every direction taken is a new start

Remind yourself to forget all negative before this

We are not every yesterday passed...

And if hope is what we have

Then feed the soul positivity

Peace comes when chosen

Listen to the voice within calling your name

Release the weight...

And begin where everything else has come to an end

Stop...

Embrace the moment...

Don't let yesterday take up too much of today...

Let the light in...

Lead yourself out of the darkness

On the list of things counted, you are here...

With a realization and understanding

Negative thoughts aren't always true

They are often a made-up story formed by doubts, fears, and anxieties

Pulling us away from reality and distracting our vision from what is actually there

Life is living in all its moments

Pain makes us remember...

Confusion can be temporary...

Because every time you worried in the past, its now a distance memory

Meet this day with today's strength

Tomorrow is yet to be...

Maybe this is the lesson learned

The part of life where you silently remove yourself from the hurt

Allow self-care to replenish the soul

Deny excess to anything that disturbs your peace

And drains you of love...

Allow the growth, basking in the sunshine

Because toxic people only ever change their victims...

Never themselves...

Our mistakes were stepping stones

There is beauty beyond the ugly images cast

Because there are still those who know you

They see your wholeness when you feel broken

Testify to your innocence when guilt is laid

And show you the purpose beating within your being when confused

Hand placed over the heart...

Existence resides there

Acknowledge the power

Because it's okay...

If the only thing you did today...

Was survive.

Year end thoughts can bring a storm of emotions...

Days, months, and the moments all collected...

Added to life existence we are every breath and step lived

So many memories become reflective...

Experiences gained have become lessons learned

Time reminds us of the true meaning of every second embraced

Growth comes from every day realized...

We are the effort put forth...

Positive energy held, helps activate constant elevation

Peace can come from pieces if we allow it

It's the journey from within...

Our soul is worth more than being a burial ground for pain

Acknowledge the difference...

We are not this anger given to us

Nor are we the hate carried within others

History is motion forward

When we become bigger than the moment

We have the ability to learn passed it

The care within love understands

A reminder stated...

We are not the sacrifice to our every bad yesterday

So give the permission in allowance

Let go and feel the release...

Kindness to yourself and others can be a priceless gift given

Survival is this conviction believed

Footsteps rise at the coming of dawn

Proving that shadows only exist, because there is sunshine.

"Lines of Translation"

 

The steps of life are made...

Walking with us...

Carrying all the memories created...

Along with everything that has been abandoned, lost or left behind...

Some days our hands catch too many tears

The unsteady journey ahead has been made unclear

Decisions beyond our comprehension come

And actions taken against us are out of our control

Making us these moments now

Not yesterday...

Or even tomorrow...

Time always keeps its steady embrace

We remember with mixed emotions

When someone has taught us a valuable lesson

Ingrained within the senses we keep it

The learning comes after...

Having the ability to see the darkness

And hear the words spoken between the lines of translation

So we may avoid the taste of bitter disappointment

The body speaks, asking for a break

Respect the thought of mind

Honour the rest you seek when you need a moment to yourself

Because sadly, hurt people believe they need to hurt people

Its the active choice...

Boundaries put in place are seen as revenge

An act taken against them...

When reality always shows the truth

Just because some do not understand your emotions, does not mean they are not valid

Making the place where you stand important

Putting space between you and those who act like the victim in the problem they created

Helps us realize just how much we were being suffocated...

As we step away from them...

And breathe in the fresh air.

"Moment of Change"

 

Some wonder...

Why there is so much anger given...

So many moments collide together until they explode...

When the reason becomes clear, the eye finally will see

Each wrong step taken has been a deliberate act

To trespass beyond the boundaries of another

Even when fair warning is given...

The broken becomes more broken

Why must someone give so much hate?

Every action is lined with an embrace of cruelty

When understanding is not believed

Our reaction is the only cause for more accusation...

The true form of manipulation is now known

Because even blame is assigned to us when we call out their disrespect

So what drives this difference?

Why do you let the negative affect you so much?

And don't let the positive affect you enough?

This should be the task at hand...

Our moment of change...

And within our ability to fix...

Maybe we all need this reminder

We must stop sacrificing all of our mental health for the carelessness of others

Because words will always remain silent

Simply because they are the one who is owing an apology

Like everything in life there is a balance

Limit your availability to those who are only there when its convenient for them

Making this the hardest decision made...

Choosing their absence over the deep hurt and disruption of peace within

Tomorrow is our next yesterday

We are who we were born to be

And no apology should have to be given for the soul within a being

Or however “imperfect” another deems you to be

Reminding us that most scars do not come from some unknown enemy

They are left by those who claimed to know our interest better

Done by strangers we use to love...

There is this understanding...

That the road traveled goes both ways...

In some cases its a guarantee...

But direction always begs to be acknowledged

So the questions continue to remain...

We are all a story being told

The beginning...

Some where in the middle...

And an end that has yet to be...

Comprehension comes in understanding

The effort taken is done in compassion

Kindness can be a priceless gift given

As we hold space for another

We are existence given

Our vision contains a certain view

That's why, when allowed, reflection can be so deep

What allowance is given?

How far is tolerance pushed?

What demand has been put upon our embrace?

Because there are limits...

Everything is a possibility

Yet sadly, there comes a time when next to nothing can be done...

The distinction is in the choice

A minds point of view...

Footsteps may lead...

But the residue behind us always follows

Causing shadows to remain when a dividing line is made

As it becomes “me” against “them”...

A world buried within the world

Contained within and with out

Words state the purpose calling

As the difference takes up arms

Because the hurt felt is worth more than then next

Making every moment following an act of war...

Sometimes...

We listen to the silence for too long...

How much energy do we have?

To fight back against change...

Daily existence calls to us

Moving and pushing our being

Weaving the links of life between the balance of the world

What do we hold onto?

And what do we release?

Even when it seems so familiar

What purpose does it now serve?

Because if its not keeping you for the better...

Sadly, it will only make you bitter

These are some of the biggest lessons we will ever learn

Positive energy helps activate constant elevation

Our being rises with the soul contained within

Because no one should be able to cause shadows or darkness

In an attempt to banish us from the sunlight

There are people who will fight for you...

And along side you...

These are the ones that show up every time

And care deeply, not only when life is convenient

But when its difficult and messy

We are humanity embraced as one

Too often we are reminded...

A line is drawn for a reason

Boundaries make us aware of what is unacceptable

We are allowed to say no

Because self care is doing what is best for you

And please know...

It is never your responsibility to sacrifice yourself completely for others.
