"Moment of Change"

 

Some wonder...

Why there is so much anger given...

So many moments collide together until they explode...

When the reason becomes clear, the eye finally will see

Each wrong step taken has been a deliberate act

To trespass beyond the boundaries of another

Even when fair warning is given...

The broken becomes more broken

Why must someone give so much hate?

Every action is lined with an embrace of cruelty

When understanding is not believed

Our reaction is the only cause for more accusation...

The true form of manipulation is now known

Because even blame is assigned to us when we call out their disrespect

So what drives this difference?

Why do you let the negative affect you so much?

And don't let the positive affect you enough?

This should be the task at hand...

Our moment of change...

And within our ability to fix...

Maybe we all need this reminder

We must stop sacrificing all of our mental health for the carelessness of others

Because words will always remain silent

Simply because they are the one who is owing an apology

Like everything in life there is a balance

Limit your availability to those who are only there when its convenient for them

Making this the hardest decision made...

Choosing their absence over the deep hurt and disruption of peace within

Tomorrow is our next yesterday

We are who we were born to be

And no apology should have to be given for the soul within a being

Or however “imperfect” another deems you to be

Reminding us that most scars do not come from some unknown enemy

They are left by those who claimed to know our interest better

Done by strangers we use to love...

"Storytelling"

 

There is this understanding...

That the road traveled goes both ways...

In some cases its a guarantee...

But direction always begs to be acknowledged

So the questions continue to remain...

We are all a story being told

The beginning...

Some where in the middle...

And an end that has yet to be...

Comprehension comes in understanding

The effort taken is done in compassion

Kindness can be a priceless gift given

As we hold space for another

We are existence given

Our vision contains a certain view

That's why, when allowed, reflection can be so deep

What allowance is given?

How far is tolerance pushed?

What demand has been put upon our embrace?

Because there are limits...

Everything is a possibility

Yet sadly, there comes a time when next to nothing can be done...

The distinction is in the choice

A minds point of view...

Footsteps may lead...

But the residue behind us always follows

Causing shadows to remain when a dividing line is made

As it becomes “me” against “them”...

A world buried within the world

Contained within and with out

Words state the purpose calling

As the difference takes up arms

Because the hurt felt is worth more than then next

Making every moment following an act of war...

Sometimes...

We listen to the silence for too long...

How much energy do we have?

To fight back against change...

Daily existence calls to us

Moving and pushing our being

Weaving the links of life between the balance of the world

What do we hold onto?

And what do we release?

Even when it seems so familiar

What purpose does it now serve?

Because if its not keeping you for the better...

Sadly, it will only make you bitter

These are some of the biggest lessons we will ever learn

Positive energy helps activate constant elevation

Our being rises with the soul contained within

Because no one should be able to cause shadows or darkness

In an attempt to banish us from the sunlight

There are people who will fight for you...

And along side you...

These are the ones that show up every time

And care deeply, not only when life is convenient

But when its difficult and messy

We are humanity embraced as one

Too often we are reminded...

A line is drawn for a reason

Boundaries make us aware of what is unacceptable

We are allowed to say no

Because self care is doing what is best for you

And please know...

It is never your responsibility to sacrifice yourself completely for others.

Found here is our perspective...

The value put upon time...

With light breaking upon the dawn....

We become the breath within our lungs

We are this effort in trying

Anchored within our soul humanity resides

All colours moving and still fill this vision of the world around us

Days passed are covered with footsteps forward

The journey endured, taken, and achieved

Marked by every place where we have stumbled and fallen

But contained within each is how we have learned to get back up

And regained control of the direction we seek

We have learned and continue to do so

Gaining lessons and knowledge given to us and passed on by us

We now know how to rise above...

And in some cases, we are still rising

The past is history...

Each chapter is another added

Moments of living with emotion

Of happiness and grief echoed with the balance of peace

We are the fire lit within

We are the ability in understanding, a conscious searching the truth

To be wiser, to be better, not bitter...

Release the shrapnel of anger buried beneath the skin

There is no gain in keeping score

These are the arms reaching out hands that embrace change

Life knows without us knowing

Choices have made decisions

Reality reminds us every day

That we are only borrowed moments...

Existence upon a time line with no set ending

Yesterday brings us to every tomorrow and beyond

We all carry our heart with us

With the light and through the darkness

Because we have been the darkness...

And it may come, and it may go...

But the new horizon approaching always reminds us

Shadows only prove that there is sunshine.

This is our life...

The moments...

And the days counted...

Sunrises and sunsets...

The bittersweet and grief...

Is another wrinkle in time passed

A thread weaved within the tapestry of history

Ready or not...

Feet need to move

From lessons learned

Realize, any direction taken...

Other than the one that embraces you now

Is survival...

Choices to choose

Forgiven or lost...

Is this who you want to be?

Don't close your eyes, you need to see the direction you want to be

Let belief become conviction

The worth in effort is the gain achieved

Take pride in the battles won

Celebrate the growth realized

Honour yourself always...

Thoughts lead attitude to perspective

Kindness given to yourself and others

Is sharing the light in the darkness

Take value in understanding every day given

Because so many can be taken away...

Dare to be a little more, but nothing less than yesterday

Because in the end...

What do you have to lose?

The mind wonders...

Sorting through the thoughts and decisions...

Some long gone...

Others repeated...

And so many yet to be...

We reflect what we wish to see

Every decision we make leads us down a different road

Each time another moment is spent

Because we will never come to reach the same crossroads ever again

We place the power of significance upon them

Holding onto the weight of it with every breath

Like a ripple upon still waters...

The tiniest choice will reverberate throughout our entire life

All because we are the sum of our experiences

Every encounter as we go through life changes us

We are shaped by every day

Our character, mindset, and point of view

We learn the give and take...

The hard and easy...

And remember it all with such passion the things that shall never return

Day to day struggles teach us

With triumphs and challenges

Because all contain the freedom within it of how we react to it

The past becomes the past for a reason, and that is where it is suppose to stay

We are not our every yesterday...

Because we exist for today...

So we can live to see tomorrow...

Embraced within us is our world

Listen to the voice within your heart

Be the attempt in trying

And just like the night...

Darkness will come...

Because the next horizon is waiting upon the new dawn for the sun.

We learn...

There is this ability...

A willingness...

Sometimes an eagerness...

To understand the world around us

There are times words carry more weight than action

Within each syllable there is a remembrance given

Because when hate is shot out like arrows from a razor sharp tongue

Scars bury themselves deep

Causing ripple effects within the being that has unlimited reach

So what is the purpose?

There is no misunderstanding

This is an act of hurt

To inflict the most pain...

With a specific reason...

Our power now lies within the reaction to it

Because too many times silence fills the space

Bitterness only breeds anger

That steals the light within us

We are capable of learning...

Because life is always teaching us something

Another twist in the road...

A sharp curve ahead...

Adaptation wrestles with what was...

And brings us to what will be now

Open your eyes to your surroundings

Manage the senses...

Because time is always

Our footsteps are this journey

Let this day end with the sun

History is yesterday

And tomorrow is the beginning.
