"Life To Change"

 

Moments...

Of  this day beginning...

Gathering and passing...

Each second experienced for the very first time

The push and pull paired with the curves in the road ahead

Give yourself some grace as you learn to navigate through it

You don't know what you will learn...

Until you know better from it...

There will always be things that try to bury us deep

We must try our very best to exist beyond the pain...

Because there is so much more than avoidance

Its the give and take...

The miracle in the balance embraced

From will to action...

The experience keeps us

A reminder that there is no returning

The direction is feet moving forward

Ownership of our being belongs within our hands

There are some things in this world we did not cause...

And the control of that is not ours

Because the cure begins with peace from within

Its the lesson in allowance...

To have the ability in strength

A single breath of courage taken

Is the growing conviction now at the ready

The hours of this day only hold us

From darkness to light...

We are the choice made...

So we are able to be brave enough to take a chance...

If we wish for anything in life to change.

Moments...

All moving and still...

A new horizon begins...

The next page continues into this chapter now

How many memories hold you?

Is there worth in your effort?

Is hope the basis of your fight?

Belief comes in the decision made

Trying our best with all of our being...

The heartbeat reminds us that we are a survivor

We are what we make it, all on our very own...

Even at our weakest, there is still a sliver of light found

No shadow can completely cast us in darkness

Like on so many other occasions, a voice calls our name

From deep within a realization comes

That it all starts with action taken...

Hands at the ready, its the best within our ability given

Healing is not about changing who you are

Its about changing how you feel about yourself...

Critics will always be unhappy with your choices

Especially when is goes against there opinion of right

But we are not the sum of another's opinion made

There should be no allowance given to another being

When they only add more scars to your heart

Because attempting to benefit from your brokenness...

Is toxic manipulation at its core

Release the heaviness of this burden...

Ownership only belongs to you

With this breath, take a step forward

Life is always ready for us

Existence within every second always

We have been the past...

And the present now holds us...

Till that moment when tomorrow becomes what we make it.

"Gray"

Its the dare...

And the assumption made...

That it is the right of another...

To know the betterment for ourselves...

We know our limits

Our doubt reminds us of this

There are lines drawn

Boundary walls that should not be passed

We know the trouble ahead

The senses foresee the approaching storm

People show us over and over again exactly who they are

And when the benefit of the doubt is repeatedly given...

We fail to see...

Because it's easier to look at someone and only believe with the heart

But when so many shadows get cast...

In the attempt to bury us in darkness

All because we shine to bright...

When did respect become filled with so many shades of gray?

How many more questions remain?

Until the answers are known and the realization is made...

The fault is not found within our protest of unfair treatment

Its beyond our realm of embrace

A hard vision is held for the very first time

Within reality and belief our view is made clear

We are not the burden of brokenness...

We are not this hurt given...

Its who they choose to be...

This is why we should not anchor our healing to another

In the hope that someday off in the distance, they may regret their choices made

Sadly, pride blinds the eyes...

Allowing the wrong to be forgotten

Pushing aside acceptance in fault or understanding

Because it is not about hurt and pain suffered to your being...

It is only the way we reacted...

While protecting ourselves from destruction...

Eyes wake...

A new day...

Another horizon...

Time reflects upon seconds passed

Emotions gather memories

Sorted and stored away

Safe keeping the golden treasures of yesterday

Why do we remember the hard parts way to easily?

Then forget about our instincts begging to be listened to...

The lines we draw are to safe guard our boundaries laid

We are the keeper of this

And if allowed, the warrior within will defend the line

When the lack of caring trespasses against our respect

Because often enough...

The bridges burned...

Were lit by a match on the other end...

Sadly, the lies told lead to the stories recited

And the heart knows better than this

In the shadow of confusion the senses know

The answer now calling your name

It will not be ignored...

Make the choice before it makes it for you

Stop the tears before it leads to bloodshed...

There is hope beyond this...

If you allow it...

Breathe...

Tomorrow can be just like today

Change within existence...

Or remain ever the same...

Because some things in life are merely moments...

And then they are gone.

Life never tells you...

When beautiful moments are going to happen...

We capture those memories afterwards

As a framed picture in the mind

Feelings and emotions guide change

The possibility of this day is never truly known

Seconds change...

Bringing strength and knowledge...

A daily reminder that life is always the teacher

And we, the students learning

Its existence knocking upon the door of our being

But there is no request to enter...

Each day we are an automatic participant

Fragile trust leads to understanding

We become the decisions made

Stepping stones are laid

We are the intent in healing

The act of bravery that begins slowly, then deepens

Because empowerment comes from within

We are everything to this world

Dreams fuel energy that pulses and flows

Breathe in the freshness of air

Plant your words in belief

Make actions known

You are more than this

All pieces connect and lead...

Reality does not exist without a past

And today is an expression yet to be created

So allow the night to hold the darkness

Because we are the light.

There is something...

In the moments between realization and understanding...

We bear witness to life

And the trust in thought is weighed

Why do we care so much?

What emotion is there?

Time links the ups and downs

The heartbeat of living keeps us

Some words are meant...

Others are known without even speaking

What is it that you feel from touch?

Can the length and depth of a feeling be measured?

Faith is based in hope...

Questions come from a yearning to know

Because we strive for betterment in knowledge

A place where a seed can grow

To root a foundation within us

So we may build upon the stepping stones laid

Yet confusion always has its way...

Blurring the lines unclear

A voice echoes in the mind...

Is there a sign?

Asking for an explanation is the first marker given

A point where we get hung up upon and venture no further

Because mixed signals always speak for themselves

In the confusion is the answer found

And even if we fail to see...

Reality calls our name...

Because sometimes its not breaking the connection made

Or even letting someone go...

Its the fact that they didn't want to stay...

Its the balance...

Between taking advantage and care with compassion...

The weight of each emotion...

The heaviness of an embrace taken

Can become moments of understanding

Hands held...

Strength unites with hope...

For better days after this...

To be more than the darkness cast in shadows

Brave is the being who can admit fault

Because we have the ability to learn from life

Action is a step taken...

We are capable of more than we know

Conviction comes with reality

Trust is earned, never taken...

Release the soul from that version of yourself

The being created in order to survive

Because you have now grown beyond this

Stop...

Take this time to breath

Realize your position

Anchor yourself to what is known

Separate yourself from what use-to-be

Honour the support calling your name

Love should be proud of the progress made

Past trauma does not justify the current cause of pain

We all bleed from the wounds that come from life...

And our empathy to others is not permission granted to hurt us

Place the value in the positive

Respect the choice

Know the difference

Change the odds.
