Moments...

Reasons...

Time...

There are those we remember

While others we can't seem to forget

The root of it has dug deep

Taken growth within the core of the being

Our lesson is existence

To live through this step in life

And make it to the next...

We are the keeper of allowance

What we let in...

And that which we release

Actions make words into motions

Forgotten is the force with the definition

And the hidden meanings carried within

Heed the warnings given

There are signs

There is the power to break a heart...

Or help mend it...

To start a war within the lives of others

Or heal the distance...

As well as the ability to build bridges...

Or burn them complete...

Are you prepared for the loss?

These are the scenes of silence

There is freedom in choice

But not from consequences

Loyalty exists in strength

Hope is in every tomorrow

Truth is constant

Remember the choices of conviction

Prepare the senses for the possibilities

If not now, when?

If not you, who?

Because a simple “I'm sorry...”

May not always make everything alright.

Success or failure

Potential and risk

Answers to the questions

Come from the list of the unknown

Endless possibilities set free hope

Beyond limitations cast

Belief in ones self is key

Strength found in knowledge

Growth within the lesson learned

Trust the steps taken

There is a purpose

Let faith transcend turmoil

We owe ourselves the privilege

The responsibility to see it through

We are not perfection

But life has more than one direction

We are not the sum of others definition

Or the reflection of shadows cast...

Take courage in the dream

To be real with emotion

Experiences build us

Embrace the freedom within

Feet placed proudly forward is choice

Inner peace and happiness

Is the decision made clear

We are not every yesterday

Today is now...

Let the new begin

We are these moments...

And everything in between

Breathe deep...

Hold onto the light...

Be the root and the source

Creation is dreamed

In everyday existence.

To fall...

In love...

With only words...

Of a soul bared back...

A heart reaching for an embrace

To taste each syllable upon the tongue

A textured movement of the lips

Each taking flight

Rising higher within the mind

Matching the heart beat

Memories stream through emotions from all the yesterdays

Treasured ones hang close

While so many never seem to recede to the point of forgotten

Regret is wasted on the impossible

For truth would never allow that to come to pass

More respect and permission should not be given

When what has been already offered is not appreciated

Continuous careless moments wound

A repetitive circle spins

Cracking the heart of hope

Ignored pain comes to light in other ways

Reminding us of the true depths of darkness

Is always matched by the spreading light

Like long fingers of luminescence

All is never lost...

Its truth and pain...

Its realization and gain...

To move past something you never actually had

Because yesterday will never change

Tears clean the slate

Eyes forward

Feet beneath the soul

Do not fear the silence found within chaos

For it is what you have searched

A calmness to fill the void

A reminder to let go

And that its okay to forget

That which no longer serves you well.

So often...

Mistakes are chosen

When silence hangs loud in the air

Thoughts echo

Senses snap together

Tears drop like rain

The next breath becomes something of dreading

The mind storm begins

From lost moments of reflection

Clouds of confusion hang heavy

Lost amongst the gray

Fear and rage take sides

Words become a quiet deafening

Muscle memory aches for the sunshine

A weathered eye watches the horizon

A voice begging to be strong

Holds steadfast

Anchoring ones self

By digging deep

Which reminds us of allowance

The truth amongst the chaos

Is that the soul is the beacon calling

We can brave the sounds of thunder

And survive the loss of light

The rain will wash clean the confusion

Giving chance for calm and renewal

Growth within the stillness

It becomes a choice of perspective

Peace comes by letting go

By reminding us of all the colours of the sky

From dark to bright

Shadows cast are like storm clouds

We have reached that point...

And have come to realize...

Who we have been...

Who we are...

And we now know what we can become...

We know that this decision can never be forgotten

It reminds us of so much...

Choices and decisions

To rise above...

Or to lay down and remain bruised...

We are not the sum of all that is lost

Nor are we all that is left behind in every yesterday

This is a world in constant motion

When everything can change

With every single second passed...

Nothing is ever the same

How much worth is placed into all that could possibly be missing?

Does the math add up?

Stop multiplying the negative

Add to the positive

Dividing yourself in half will not make your vision clear

If happiness eludes you, find it...

Be the difference you seek

Change gears to another path

Be the light shinning bright

We are not the grief and darkness given to us

It's now or never

Later is not guaranteed

Life is not meant to be lived afterwards

Find the moment

Laugh, kiss, embrace, and love...

Among these are the gifts of existence

Because life happens for us...

Not to us...

Allow these moments to guide the healing

And keep the strength in remembrance

That you are found here

 Lost...

Inside the void...

A heart stands alone...

Questioning the rigid tone

Voices speak in anger

If this is love...

Why is it so unclear?

Judgments passed paint pictures

Blurred from one point of view

Words mark days and moments

The realization of truth is known

Hidden behind the wall of concern

Reality is seen...

To lock out love...

And nurture shame...

No fault should be placed upon an already burdened heart

The road from the past is behind us

The emptiness of bitterness can consume you complete

Wisdom is found in the learning

Laying claim to the place you stand

Well fought and won

A proud act of achievement

No matter how small should be celebrated

We are more than these moments

Much more than what we allow to accept

Sadly, hurt people hurt people...

The care for another is used...

To trespass beyond our boundaries and limitations...

Love is not control...

Or to confine others to boxes

By setting blame in your actions

But never seeing the wrong in theirs

The reminder is set

To this...

What we have here and now

The time given

And the decision made

On how we spend it.

These hands of ours...

Have counted the dreams...

The heart wishes were true

Fingers have desired that long embrace held

Reality sets the truth

A mind rushed with memories

The hope and conviction

Till they are clasped together in prayer

They have given hope

Reached out to those who have been reaching

Wiped the tears...

Softened fears...

The hands that have taken

Like a thief in the night

Causing action for reaction

Hate before love...

Cruelty before compassion...

These hands have felt the heavy cost

And these hands have lost...

The will and strength

And effort in persistence

Seeds have been planted to grow with care

Cherished moments bloom

Its the familiar...

And the calming of that which you do not understand

Possibilities are set into motion

We carry the balance

Light with the dark

Choices and decisions

Yesterday is a closing door

And we don't live there anymore

Time is this and we are here

Make hands at the ready
