We all fall down upon the path of life

Its that lesson learned

And the scars that tell the stories

The importance is to rise to the fight

A spark lost must be rekindled

Let it burn bright

Shine your light

When those moments of inspiration hit

embrace them

Seize all that is offered

Allow them flow through you

Let motivation find you

Seek the source

Find the root

Wherever that may be

Be more than these moments

Breath through them...

Let your new path rise up and meet your eager feet

Regain your ground once so proudly fought and won

Because all of this is not just merely surviving

It's life...

Living

And its' existing!

"Bleeding Heart"

When a soul is perched upon the edge of life...

And death...

Reflecting upon the moments of life

Only then do you come to know the true meaning of time...

Because barely surviving should not be your main purpose in life

Denial has left you abandon

And by avoiding each moment of every day

Has made you become a ghost within your own life...

Brick by brick

Lie by lie

You build a wall around you

A silence words soon will not be able to break

Truth is like blood underneath your fingernails

Its begging to be set free

Yet your eyes remain starring at the floor

As if your secrets were written upon the carpet

For the all viewing eye to read

Your footsteps have come to the proverbial fork in the road

Choices now haunt your every waking moment...

Left or right?

Surrender or fight?

Or step out into the light...

And live life?

"Light Carries On"

The dark tone in your voice begs to be heard

Trembling hands desperately reach

Awaiting to be held

The broken clock upon the wall only reminds you of time lost

Or that will never be...

Some seem to justify everything

Just so they don't have to take ownership of anything

Our attitude is evidence of this

Too many times people speak of days old hate

Completely undermining just how safe one can feel to be safe

Because when everything seems helpless

We must do our best to survive

To push on...

To take it one day at a time

And if the day is too much

Take one hour at a time

And if one hour proves too much

Take a minute at a time

Don't stop moving

The act of trying gives you hope

Because your current situation is not your final destination

We all fall down

And lose that spark

Be sure to ignite the flame once again upon rising

And shine bright

So the light will carry you though

Making you remember that we must be greater than what we suffer...

Always.

The search begins within

Shadows fell...

Darkness pulled...

Doubt became a fog you could not navigate through

Because for far too long you have surrendered to those moments that have held you still

Despite it all, you found yourself here...

Nothing more and nothing less than what you are

Taken as if its your last breath of fight

You steal in the strength needed from the roots of survival

You take one step away from the broken

Small in nature...

You have begun the effort to rekindle that spark

The good with the bad mix together

Forming the solid bricks of your foundation now

The turning of a page...

This is the next chapter to be written...

Brushing off the dust of things faded

You forge ahead upon this path of liberty

Its a new hope given

Your beacon of light now shines out within

Lost no longer, you have your heading

There is no other direction than this

You know all too well not to look back

Because you were never meant to go in that direction

Embraced is this feeling...

That it's never too late to find yourself

Self discovery is always worth the effort put forth...

And the journey taken

Your heart now beats for love...

For adventure...

For life...

As you dare to be different from what you were

To something much more now.

Let the darkness turn to light

Put extra into the ordinary

Move ahead with your day with all of your heart

Giving thanks to the sunlight given

Let it lead you through the darkness

Push passed these moments that hold you now...

Today is just that...

There is always another tomorrow

And even though that day is never certain to come

A day well lived within all the vibrant moments can make the pages of history

Golden memories treasured

Remind yourself that happiness, love, and inner peace

Is always worth the effort put forth

Every step of the journey...

All the ounces of strength it takes...

Makes us a better being

And at the end of the day when the sun sets once again

Nothing will make you smile more than the promise of new hope

These are the lines of my life prayer

Listen...

Take from these words what you may see fit

Live them...

Because words of action are always better...

Than words of silence.

"Back To December"

There is something about December...

And letting those last few days of the year go

The calendar has run out of numbers

And this final month will soon be done

Reflection seems to run deep

Sifting through the moments gathered

Happiness seems to always battle it out for first place

The runner up is life...

The heaviness of sadness and bitter hours are counted

We try to remind ourselves that the pain makes us real

It keeps our eyes at attention

Hands upon the wheel we direct ourselves through

The ups and down's in life follow our heart beats

If it was a flat line...

We would not exist...

Don't let your past mistakes make a mess of your present

Heed the warnings and lessons learned

Yesterday and tomorrow are the days you cannot change

But this day lived

Is filled to the brim with possibilities

Remember that saying it means nothing if your actions betray you

If your gonna be brave and paint with all the colours

Why not use them all and let them shine bright

Because oddly enough...

Ripping off the band aid helps with the healing

If its all that you can do...

Do it well

Life happens always

With out without you

Only when the darkness settles in

Is when we miss the brightest moments the most

So as the page turns another chapter in our history

Let the promise of a new hope begin

Its a step in an exciting adventure

Our story makes us stronger

Its the foundation laid

So this coming New Year

Start within.

Cold is your soul that cries

Lost within...

Eyes search

As you continue to lose balance upon the egg shells you tread

Actions are held within your hands

But the decisions are held hostage within the mind

So you continue to dance with the skeletons in other people's closets

Making you fall behind in life...

Exhausting is the effort you take

Trying to fix something that is not broken

Abandonment seems to be the easy choice taken

Burying all hope that could exist...

As you forget a little more

Everyday...

That love is love

And it should not require a specific label.
