"To Life Be True"

Life changes like the weather

And some experiences lived are so great...

They change us

And how we view ourselves

You can't get back the time lost

Find peace in the days yet to be lived

The past is written

Tomorrow is a new page in life

And there is only two days that you can't change...

Tomorrow and yesterday...

Because on the dark days that grip us

We must hold out hope...

To be greater than what we suffer.

These are the moments

Actions and choices...

The act of movement of getting up with the sun

And being thankful for the breath taken in

Along with the ones put to rest with the darkness of the night

We are more than these emotions we feel or carry

We are not our past...

Those were experiences learned

Not to be a life sentence carried out

Mistakes do not define us...

We define us

Other definitions of what we deserve should not dictate our well being

Or path in life...

Life is meant to be lived out loud

Not in silence or among the shadows

Because denying your true self is never sound advice

To you be true...

Happiness is a right

Not something that must be earned

Though it does have to be sought out

Found and fought for...

Clear your mind of the confusion

Doubt usually means don't

Embrace the soul

Shine bright your inner being

For we have more worth to us than simply fading into all of the forgotten yesterdays

Take one step...

From where you are now

To where you want to be

That is survival at the root

The core...

The beginning...

Each day...

Each moment...

Here and now...

Remembering always

To go with life.

Eyes drift upwards...

Taking in the stars that blanket the sky holding the moon

Standing here in endless moments

Embraced within shattered pieces of life

Tears leaking a stream down pale cheeks

Erode away at the barriers built

Pain cracks through the facade painted

Touched by the cold of self abandonment

Reasons as to why take flight...

Thoughts scream through the corridors of the mind

The things that could have been...

Should have been...

Replay in the dark

Fear embraces the soul

Lost...

You have found yourself lying within your life

Memories of happiness fail

As you dig a little deeper...

Burying yourself just that much more

Away from the truth you know is craving desperately to come to light

A single pure moment of freedom if taken

One choice that would begin a journey of many steps

From the gray fog of confusion

To clarity

Dawn approaches...

First glint of sunshine casts out from the horizon...

Begging to know...

Will your true inner being know this day?

Will you become more than the silence... you keep?

As we always do

When you take a moment and look into yourself

Past the wish and prayer

Simply continue to be

Just as you are

Continue to strive towards the vision you see

Shrug off any vision of what others see you being

Live enough to let your dreams grow

Challenge and change the world around you

While always remembering that leaps of faith require you to jump...

Simply love without the label...

And continue to give absolutely everything you can to life

"Last Chance Broken"

Time has done for me its art filled master work

Erased the weight of deception and betrayal

Faded is the sharp edge of of the words that led me astray

My voice spoke of honesty and of truth to you

Conversations linked our lives together in a common thread

My past was unearthed so your eyes may behold the misfortune of past love broken

Even though you were armed with all this information

A false truth was born

Caught red handed by your own admission

I was broken by your lies

My thoughts burned

Turmoil turned within me

You broke every rule that I had set forth

Clouding all the supposed good that you brought to my life

Anger is my every right now

You were fairly warned

I told you not to lie, cheat, or steal from my heart

It was your choice to deceive me

Breaking my trust in you complete

So don't just simply stand there thinking that all is well

Expecting a second chance that would never be automatically given...

Ever.

Cloud shadows drift across the barren fields

Memories drift quietly upon the wind

The bright golden sun warms my skin

As I embrace every essence within me

My senses remember and recall their most prize indulgence

My smile tells the truth of a tale that is all knowing

I cannot hide the immensity

I can hardly bare the moments when I'm with you

To not be touching you...

Holding you...

 Or being with you in every way two people can be

Making every second I am not absolute torture

Its all bittersweet

But I stay...

I wonder, remember, and hope

Why do we dance like this?

Why do we hold our words back?

Why do we wait upon borrowed time, loving no one, alone?

These are the things that I'm forced to question...

The choice is within our hands

Its entirely up to you if you would like to be included

So I wait...
