"Life In Music"

Hear the piano notes play

Notes struck...

Heart strings plucked

Bringing the senses alive

Memories draw

Cascading through the mind

Golden treasures held dear

We are the music lived

The soft melody chimed

The highs and lows...

The silent pauses in between

All living within or outside the lines

Creating our own master piece in time

Reminding us that life is here and now

In every moment...

That you awaken curiosity, imagination, and chance

You cannot teach it

We are the care takers of the light within us

And that fight you carry deep within you

Is a warrior...

Always ready to show up for battle

Life and its various moments always play out in many shapes and forms

So cue the chorus

Play it loud

And burn bright.

"Surrender Nothing Always"

Smile gently

Take a moment

Take time to get some perspective

Lose all underlying motives

Life is reflective

What you give is what you get in return

Breathe in the calming air

Exist in this very moment

Look up to the sky in unfailing faith and hope

From your hand to the world

Peace...

Release a dove...

Re-introduce your true self to the world

Re-unite with love

Fall in love with life once again

Feel with all of your senses

Let the fresh and invigorating feelings and emotions flow

Regain control...

Follow that course within your heart

Forgive yourself, the debt that you owe

Release all of your pain

Look at life as if you were setting sight upon it for the first time

Watch on with a positive optimistic view

Indulge yourself completely

The world is at your feet and its for the taking

Life is knocking upon the great door of your being

Feel the awakening...

Stand tall

Make your mark upon this universe

Your fate is within your very own hands

Go now, join your fellow man

Covet your choice in life to live

Go out onto this world and be free

Be who you want to be

Anchor yourself with firm and stable roots

Grow...

Plant numerous more seeds of creativity, diversity, and common respect

Its ultimately your decision

But hesitate and linger no longer

Because no soul deserves to be jailed within submission

Step back, look, feel, and listen to the profound sounds of your life

Live it...

It's yours to own

And surrender nothing always.

"Lost Sensation"

These days each step takes a little longer to take

Another day you have pulled yourself through

Screaming whispers fall

Along with every emotion contained within your heart

Grasping at old thoughts of love

It all seems useless now

All that once was is changed

Shadows hide in plain sight from dawn till dusk

Bringing disturbance to the life you were living

What was once found is lost

Reminding you that the wind of change is always blowing

And just because we turn our backs upon it

Still does not mean that it does not move us

Because this is how you find yourself here

Stuck in the moments of past and present

Abandoned and drifting upon the wind

Life has become numb...

Something that you wish desperately you could avoid

But, life waits for no one...

So you force yourself to keep moving

Even if its in the direction of now where

Or around another twisted circle

Because for now, nothing else can be done

Not until the dust settles

And life resembles something more than something that use to be

So with your hand upon the door

You check the reflection once again in the mirror

And it looks a lot like you.

"The Darkness of White"

You've become lost within yourself

You quake and shiver, cracking your concrete exterior to the core of your being

Numerous thoughts tumble together, while growing and darkening in

Each disastrous thought is like a snowflake

Floating and swirling around within the contents of your mind

God, how you hate the snow

Your heart is locked behind a wall of bitter cold

You rest so precariously upon the edge of life and death

As snowflake upon snowflake join together with millions

A blizzard blows monumentally strong within

You have come to know the true darkness of white

Natures furry knows no other force like a ravaged and abandoned soul

God, how you hate the snow

The white fluffiness is all consuming, its like a light blanket of coldness draped heavily over you

Slowly, burying you alive

Your thoughts, along with your voice scream out into the raging snow storm that is your life

The blinding whiteness tears through the battle ground of your existence, cutting you off from the world around you

The snow comes in from everywhere, from all sides

Everything around you becomes one, the air, the sky, your life-it all looks exactly the same

No longer can you see the way before you, for your eyes have become the same screaming white

Tired and frozen cold, all of your senses have gone numb

Your tears turn to ice as an avalanche claims you

Leaving a scene of white nothingness

Here in snow.

"Worry for You"

My eyes well...

Tears pearl, build, and fall

One by one they cascade down my cheeks

I worry for you...

I feel flushed

My breath draws a sharp gasp

I hold my thoughts still

Moments fill and multiply with questions that you refuse to answer

I worry for you...

My heart worries for you

I hold strong my faith and hope

I send out my energy

Praying you grasp a hold of even a shred of my strength

Step lightly...

Breath...

Simply remember to breath

I worry for you...

Because you don't seem to worry enough for yourself

What I have is yours to take

Use whatever you need

Please...

Help me... help you...

Survive...

"Embrace The Light"

Hold on...

Take a breath...

Take another step forward

Push on...

The effort of moving on is surviving

Please try...

Just a little more

I know you are tired

And your conviction is weak...

But reach deep down just one more time

Extend your hand out

Grasp a hold of mine reaching...

Shout out to the darkness that it shall not have you

Scream...

Rage...

Push on...

And embrace the light

Own every moment

For its your every right to live

And to be part of this world.

"Stop Pretending"

Our world slows to a stand still

I listen to the words you are not saying

Reading between the lines...

I draw a sharp breath to what I hear

Even with all our moments added together

The image seems to fail within the minds eye

Where everything now means nothing

And everything that use to be now stares me down

Haunting my foot steps that I take

Abandonment seems to be the only option

Sadly... its what has to be

Bringing us to the end of the road we share

So it's time to stop pretending

Be the truth that I need

Release my heart...

Disconnect our embrace

Make peace with what has to be

I know that it's not me that you are wishing for...

So... I hope you find it

Whatever it is you are looking for

Because its not me

Not now...

No more.
