We are not responsible for anyone's distorted perception of us...

Stand firm with your being...

Never apologize for your bright light

Unless you are them, in their position, don't ever try to tell anyone how they should feel

Especially when you have never walked in their footsteps...

We may not be responsible for who we attract...

But we are responsible for who we keep an audience with and entertain

Reality bears witness always...

No one trashes your name with lies quicker than someone who is worried about the truth

No one plays the victim better than the one who caused the most damage...

Because it is always those with dirty hands pointing fingers of blame

Despite any circumstance, happening, or situation...

There is a residue that remains with us even after the dust settles

Certain parts and people seem to inhabit a small part of our being

A piece of them subtly remains with us...

Like a shadow stained upon that moment of living

Carried within it is the hard lesson learned...

As we come to understand that sometimes there is not enough words to voice feelings

Because confusion always does its best to torment us

To make us lost between whether we should be remembering or forgetting...

Proving to us that not all cages are made out of iron...

Some come in the form of repetitive thoughts playing in loops

Until we are forced to remind ourselves of the better...

That it is okay to break the circle...

Releasing the heavy weight of passed doubt...

Allowing freedom to become a state of mind

Healing our roots...

Stabilizing the core of our being.
