Intense warmth radiates from your tender skin

As my fingertips glide across your bare chest

Fingers entwine...

Arms link and embrace

The sound of your beating heart soothes me

You snuggle your chin deep at the base of my neck

Intense shivers excite every nerve upon my spin

I smile bright...

My breath matches yours

In this position I am safe

Its a place that I have longed to be for most of my life

All because I have you

Its crazy just how much stock we can put into a feeling

The weight of emotions...

And the times passed...

Awaiting with baited breath of eagerness

Hope can always be rekindled

From the tiniest spark

Or even from nothing in the dark

We are that example of a fresh new chance taken

You and I

Here...

Just as we are

Learning the curves of each others lives

We mark out our beginning

Growing together with hands and fingers entwined

With all of the stars I gaze upon

And the numerous moments counted that have passed

Add together until my mind loses track

Because we are building up memories upon the thousands each and every day

And a day in the life of a memory can be everlasting.

I seem to struggle with the simple words of gratitude

Because to me, in this very moment

Thank you does not seem to be enough

Slowly you have begun to open the doors of your life and allow me in

Hand in hand we lead one another along

I have become very fond of having you in my life

You have become a source of deep and rich happiness

As we begin this adventure with one another upon the paths of our lives

I smile deep within my being at the knowing that I have become a source of happiness for you too

Making my senses crave more of everything that is us together
