"Breath Is Life"

Its the push that drives us...

From every yesterday...

A weather eye upon the horizon watching...

Tomorrow comes with the breaking of light after the darkness

Another day filtered through the senses

Holding onto hope...

Wishing for the better...

We set out upon the hour, working our way through the moments

Putting enough space between what was...

What will never be...

And all that has yet to come...

Making us well aware of our surroundings

We wonder, where do we invest our strength?

What is deemed worthy of our energy spent

Because every breath is life passed

All we have is here and right now

We are not our every yesterday...

Heal the whispering wounds of the past

Growth comes from not holding onto that which haunts you

Lay it to rest...

These are all decisions we choose

Accept that happiness can be a part of you

Pay attention to words and actions

Hear what was said, and see what was done

Gratitude is attitude...

Positivity is allowance within a state of being

We are the source of this gift

Within we carry the capacity of understanding

Respect the power...

Acknowledge the difference given and taken

And how hard you fight against it

Or how desperately you wish to let it go...

Because in some cases, silence becomes the answer

No response is a response...

And its a powerful one

Remember that.

"Space To Breathe"

 

Like so many moments before...

We find ourselves here...

Lost in reflection deep within...

Sorting and sifting through memories

Past to present...

All so bittersweet...

But such is life...

Its the journey and experiences

A motion forward that carries us

Footsteps always leading to a point in time that has yet to be chosen

We surrender to those things that we cannot change so quickly

But why not release the cause of so much turmoil and pain?

Given the chance, our understanding will access our strengths

With remembrance given, the power comes from knowing...

Scars are the markers of lessons learned

Even though the bitter sting of reality always hits hard, stealing our senses

It's the stand we take against it, making this our fight for life

Decision making does take practice...

Because there are always so many other voices telling our ears different

Please hold onto that thought of encouragement saying, “We are able...”

Participate in the act of your own rescue

Because we are survival...

Acknowledgment goes a long way

Realize that this day is taking way too much from you, and be done with it...

We are allowed to let go...

Especially when holding on inflicts the greatest of pain

Making the question asked, the answer...

If all it does is bury you deep, then why are you fighting against it so much?

There is a limit to what we can bear...

Until we must release the weight

Its understanding the balance within

Giving us the space to breathe...

Because at the end of it all, we have ourselves

The keeper of our humanity embraced.

Quiet moments linger...

With the sun, rise up...

Words circle...

Making their attempt to crawl into your ears

Disrupting your peace within

Time leads this motion forward

Breathing every breath

Understand the importance of this very second

Expand and evolve beyond yesterday

Deny access to those who wish to trespass against your good will

We do our best with what we are given

Standards of practice need to be understood

If equality is what you seek...

Then be it...

You can't allow the ugly to over rule life and expect everything to be beautiful

Create anew from the pieces of broken

Mend...

Fix...

Repair...

Shine the light through the darkness

Don't settle for nothing

When what weighs in the balance is everything

Positivity is a state of being

And no one is perfect...

It's okay to feel sad, angry and frustrated...

Having these feelings does not make you a negative person

It makes you human...

A being of learning

Teaching yourself the lesson of understanding

Its process to grow through what we go through

Life is our today

Embrace it...

So we can have the strength and ability

To exist in our every tomorrow.

With these moments that have come to pass...

Memory repeats the past

The bitter with the sweet

Grief and the sweet release

Eyes search...

Thoughts race...

There is an echo within

A voice calling out through the fog of confusion

Are you listening?

Breathe...

Share the space

Continue to have hope held

Because it takes courage to make a change

Sometimes you need to listen more than you can speak

For all the feelings that you do not show

And the reasons that you can never let go

How many secrets must stay hidden?

To bleed dry the heart until there is nothing left

Maybe with reinvention there would be another tomorrow...

But there can only be possibility if you allow it

One must fight for life

To not surrender the being to darkness

Have courage to walk towards the light...

Perspective is reflective

With remembrance we step forward today

Realizing that we are a being with the ability to deem ourselves worthy

There is importance running deep within our veins

That we are not our every yesterday

Because today is life existed.

There is always something...

A beginning at an end...

An end that starts a new beginning...

Is the reason found?

What change is needed?

From the outlook...

Another dream...

Or is it the current vision held?

If you are always searching, then yes...

A problem will always be found

Reality keeps our history told

And there is no going back to yesterday...

Each step is an action taken

Within free will we choose

Emotions run far and deep

Adding and subtracting from the value within

Truth does not mind being questioned, but a lie does not like being challenged

And words always speak...

Even those kept silent...

So tell your story

Begin where you stand

Offer the chance for existence

We are all a little broken

The cracks are so more light can get in

Giving the greatest chance at healing the darkness...

With allowance given, we can become more beautiful

Our flaws making us more unique...

And the experiences build the being from within

Find the things that make you happy

Embrace deeply all the joys that brings you through the day

Be gentle with the soul...

Its doing its best with daily learning...

Because some of us need that little reminder

That not all wounds of the heart are solved so easily

Or visible by the natural eye of most

This is why time keeps us here...

Within every single moment.

"Movements and Words"

The mind wonders...

Over the months counted...

For so many days now the same thing...

What image is exactly seen?

Too many times moments have caught the breath

Was it only yesterday?

Or was it many years before that?

When the trust embraced began to change...

Because without counting the numbers pegged against the heart

The suddenness began to whisper first...

But the ears of love were not ready to listen yet...

Memories recalled a different time and place

Compared to what is faced now

The change between care and compassion speaks for itself

Kindness within begged to bury the disguised cruelty hidden underneath

Even though it continued repeating the same pieces of broken

It began linking the excuses for causing the hurt inflicted...

Because the superiority within pride dictates one above the other

That the emotions of pain for one being are felt completely differently than another without any similarity or comparison...

Feeding this anger for a betrayal never given drives these blinding emotions

Demanding the light of another to pulled into the darkness being inflicted

There was once an attempt to try and correct the distorted thoughts imagined

When a hope of comprehension still existed

A chance to understand the misunderstanding...

But like so many other things, no effort came...

Which brings reality now to this crossroads of action...

Where the necessity of change has emerged from movements and words

Because the heart is failing to endure this infliction...

Unable to bear the heavy weight of such persistent grief caused...

That out of survival it releases that which pains it the most...

Surrendering to the peace found within the relief...

With the hope that this lesson learned, only ever has to be done once.

"Give the Reason"

 

Eyes up...

Looking straight forward...

Senses at attention...

Blink and you could miss it

Thankfully another moment comes again

Even though you can't see the path head...

Action forward is where you are going

Focus upon the support that has shown up

Not what has yet to be by your side

So much of what we learn about caring is taught to us

Or done through the act of doing...

Sadly, we seem to remember the harder lesson first from those who never cared for us...

Because words that do not match action is manipulation...

And refusing to be held accountable for any of it, is gaslighting...

The ability to apologize without blaming another...

Is growth within an experience understood

It's accountability with communication

There is worth in effort...

Respect is valued...

Peace is a priority...

Never give up upon yourself that still needs education

Give the reason to yourself

Healing comes in stages...

In forgetting...

Or forgiving...

And moving on...

Because some things have to end, allowing better things to begin

Stop counting yesterdays

Remind yourself today...

To breathe...

That this is you doing the best you can

And that is more than enough.
