Our breath is caught...

All upon a single moment...

Because its gone...

Change is this swift motion forward

And we are here...

Wondering...

There is this sudden darkness

Storm clouds linger over our heads

Tears rain...

The future seems to be abandoned

Today is a face that we can't dare to look at in the eye

Yesterday is the time we search

Embraced in all the seconds

Where laughter echoes

And a smile shines bright

We find ourselves lost amongst the heaviness

A voice without words...

The uncertainty holds confusion

Because even in pain...

We would rather feel that, than nothing at all

It's life reminding us that it happens all the time

By existing everyday...

With or without us...

And now without you...

Love in honour holds the light

As we keep the legacy of you alive

Because what we have loved was mortal

And that embrace is what we have to let go of...

Comfort begins to be found within the knowing

That you continue to participate in every thought, act, and decision made

As the essence of you dwells within our souls for the rest of our lives

In the threads of our memories woven

Through the years in every heartbeat

Indelible fingerprints mark every place that was touched

Now becomes the deep remembrance that we carry within us...

"Life Within Spirit"

 

I find myself lost...

Now consumed by the senses...

The eyes search for a place in time that is now passed...

Questions more than answers...

And a loss that is not fully understood

Memories cling to the embrace of existence...

For some are so sudden and ever so bittersweet...

Moments now frozen in time hold the emotions still

Tears flow...

They are how the heart speaks when the lips cannot explain how we feel

The change is known...

Everything is touched by loss...

The heaviness of an anchor weighs upon the being

Minds race within the fog of confusion

For a simple understanding that cannot be explained

We are this...

We are now this...

Desperate to reach out to a hand that you once held upon the path of life, is now out of grasp....

Feet seem to stumble

Grief wears like a heavy blanket...

Where has this life gone?

Because those that now remain here within the wake...

Keep running the list of "last times" for everything...

As love keeps the candle lit

A single flame that flickers in the darkness that follows at the tip of our heels

I feel you in the laughter echoed

I remember...

And whisper your name...

As I desperately hope to hear your voice once again

Through the rush of life and all its in-betweens

We hold this spirit in honour...

In remembrance...

And everlasting peace.

"Attempt To Try"

Stop...

For one moment...

Think...

Wait...

Realize...

Evaluate and understand...

You are not the sum of everything that has been broken

But the only thing gained by your continued actions

Is the guarantee of the loss of those who believe in you unconditionally...

Each step of living can be an adventure

Filled to the brim with life

The twist and turns can be sharp and severe

Paired with the ultimate highs and the deepest of lows

We learn the lessons of experience

There should always be the attempt to try

A balance between it all...

It's the give and take within existence

Choices and decisions...

Will you make it for yourself?

Or wait for it to make you...

How much do you wish to surrender?

Let go of the heaviness, especially when it is not your weight to bare

Release the wrong assumptions made from others

Listen to the voice calling your name from within

Be at peace with the pieces that remain

Because we are not our past...

Nor are we the same being as yesterday

Change is motion forward always

Open your eyes to a new direction

Let your embrace be survival held

A little hope can lead to conviction found

Let the darkness end with the night...

But please...

Remember the light.

"Amend the Wrong"

 

There is this thought...

That leads us further...

From so many moments collected...

The search begins within time to link them together

Senses add their interpretation when words fall short of explanation

Especially when silence holds a misunderstanding

And actions fail to hold them up with strength

The eyes search for the meaning...

For that exact place that we think we lost

Memories are recalled and sifted through

From flaws to everything that is factually right

One by one the mind adds them up

Subtracting what was suppose to be and attempting to divide the difference

Even the answers have more questions

Reading between the lines in the story told...

Our heart knows there is something amiss

Is there a link between the connection missed?

If the truth was complete...

Then why does the choice made not rest in peace?

Instinct knows that this image is deceived

The hurt is not justified...

Because when everything can be lost

We need to know with certainty

That the broken has been addressed

With an attempt in caring to amend the wrong

Make the correction in definition

Admit the attempt for misdirection

When the point is now made clear

That sadly, they wanted you to believe...

The cause and reason for all, was you...

And that is why they had to treat you this way.

Time is always...

So much can be lost when we cannot see

Clear the confusion...

Conviction can only be obtained by believing

Seek the positivity within the light

Adapt to change in motion

Be perceptive, life is reflective

Counsel yourself with understanding

Cultivate happiness with hope

Allow the growth...

Observe before reaction

Revitalize the being within

Let no other dim your radiance

Simply because they lack the courage to shine so bright

Confidence gained generates power within

Enlighten your thoughts through realization

We are change always...

Participate in the gain of happiness

There should be no apologies given for finding yourself after being lost

Brave is the soul that takes the chance to navigate the passage of existence

Let inspiration lead...

We are the proof in the accomplishment of learning

As we become more than these moments passed

Because life is something that doesn't come back...

Moments...

Of  this day beginning...

Gathering and passing...

Each second experienced for the very first time

The push and pull paired with the curves in the road ahead

Give yourself some grace as you learn to navigate through it

You don't know what you will learn...

Until you know better from it...

There will always be things that try to bury us deep

We must try our very best to exist beyond the pain...

Because there is so much more than avoidance

Its the give and take...

The miracle in the balance embraced

From will to action...

The experience keeps us

A reminder that there is no returning

The direction is feet moving forward

Ownership of our being belongs within our hands

There are some things in this world we did not cause...

And the control of that is not ours

Because the cure begins with peace from within

Its the lesson in allowance...

To have the ability in strength

A single breath of courage taken

Is the growing conviction now at the ready

The hours of this day only hold us

From darkness to light...

We are the choice made...

So we are able to be brave enough to take a chance...

If we wish for anything in life to change.

Is there worth in your effort?

Is hope the basis of your fight?

Belief comes in the decision made

Trying our best with all of our being...

The heartbeat reminds us that we are a survivor

We are what we make it, all on our very own...

Even at our weakest, there is still a sliver of light found

No shadow can completely cast us in darkness

Like on so many other occasions, a voice calls our name

From deep within a realization comes

That it all starts with action taken...

Hands at the ready, its the best within our ability given

Healing is not about changing who you are

Its about changing how you feel about yourself...

Critics will always be unhappy with your choices

Especially when is goes against there opinion of right

But we are not the sum of another's opinion made

There should be no allowance given to another being

When they only add more scars to your heart

Because attempting to benefit from your brokenness...

Is toxic manipulation at its core

Release the heaviness of this burden...

Ownership only belongs to you

With this breath, take a step forward

Life is always ready for us

Existence within every second always

We have been the past...

And the present now holds us...

Till that moment when tomorrow becomes what we make it.
