"Fear No More"

Anxious thoughts steal my breath...

Moments of silence keep me still

Embracing those times of reflection

Memories weave through the ups and downs of life

I remind myself that I am in control

To seek the courage within the worry

As events and feelings move passed my ability to define or confine them

That I am my own source of strength

I believe enough in me to win

When I am called out to fight

We have to be greater than the battle waging within our mind

To be more than what we suffer

Even though the darkness sometimes does end with the night

We are better for the experiences gained

We are made from the choices and lessons learned

Surviving is taking this second for you

Its moving any step, in any direction, passed that which holds you still

Sometimes its grand...

A new day given...

Others may require you to reach out, asking for a helping hand

Its okay...

Compassion will listen

We are human...

Daily life is change

Sometimes it takes a simple reminder to know or see the difference

Not always can we speak happiness

The balance of this world sees to this

Plant your belief strong

Strength in numbers as needed

As long as you try

You have already won

For our scars are our scars

Heal them...

Be not that which has been done to or against you

Take no judgment or criticism on how you have healed them or are healing them

Especially from those who have trespassed against you

Causing it...

Existing within life

By allowing the perpetual motion forward carry you

Step into the light

Cast out the gloom of shadows cast

Let the wound carried

Be the crack where the light enters

Let it heal...

Transform...

Because regardless of age, race, or status

Peace always begins within

The hands of the world are upon us

Lessons learned

Experiences gained

Pain given

Hope taken

Trust in human decency is never wasted

Our words are sometimes our largest resource

Use them...

Speak them...

Silence after hate is a very dangerous thing

Because if you say nothing...

Its like giving your approval to what is going on...

Give life a chance

Take a risk

Let compassion lead

Share more happiness

Embrace tolerance

Consider it

All choices are at our fingertips

I've hated this person

I've loved them without fail

To the ends of my being

And in every capacity a person can be

I have fed them lies

Told them they were not good enough

I have allowed others to do the same

I've let the broke become the broken

Till disregard became disrespect

I've placed brick walls at every turn

And fought battles alone

I could not stop those who abandon this being

Despite standing in the light

These eyes have seen their fair share of darkness

Paralyzed by a world of life, love, and fear

All within the playground of heart and soul

There are scars because there is history made

Mistakes happened...

Hard lessons learned...

Every failure, trial, and disappointment is owned

Choices have made the human that stands tall today

For they are a warrior

A fighter...

A survivor of life

One of worth

Of unstoppable hope

A being of transformation

Of happiness and inspiration

Here I be...

Exactly as I see me

Existing...

Free.

"Power Within Goodbye"

I was never the one to fix you

I am not your mistakes

Nor am I the sole creator of your decisions made

I am I and you are you...

The power is yours

The influence was never mine

Even though the lines of definition blurred, clarity was always mine

And everything and more was for you...

As much as I gave of myself

Control and intent was yours

My caution and doubt knew this

Pieces and partial bread crumbs were laid to follow

A grand design to make flecks of dust shine like gold

Stories were told with true belief, only because you lacked conviction for reality

Allowing eyes drawn to conclusions led

No correction was given to the lost

Time was stolen...

Compassion never given

Love was taken...

Trust was held hostage to the lines of drama being shown

The marching line was towed

Abandonment was misdirection

All until I was needing you more than you needed me...

The reminder was given

Words are free, its how we use them that cost us

And I refuse to be broke...

Releasing myself from the embrace of you

There is nothing owing and no debt to be collected

Only a single solitary goodbye given

This is my right

My allowance and growth within

The choice of my life without you in it

Here lies the marker, a gravestone in time

Where you and I cease to exist...

Love, friendship, and trust buried with peace

I've forgiven myself

The rest will be forgotten by time

I've learned my lesson of you

Now... I live passed it.

Time suspends itself between thoughts

Reflection deep...

Lost to the past are those bittersweet

The future is what we meet

Blink of an eye it may end

Presence given is living

Lungs cannot live upon baited breath

Who said that you can't take the broken and rebuild it?

Every step forward is surviving

The promise of better times is this day

And every tomorrow...

Be the light that you are

Shine like fire

Fragile petals of a rose still bravely bloom

And so should you

Don't let the space you want

Become the prison containing you

Life is perpetual motion

March forward

We are this...

And everything in between

Pause...

Be still...

Take this as it comes

Say the words

Confess...

Speak the soul

Let the truth unfold

Find the common connection within us all

Conquer the afraid

Stronger we must be

But together we are even stronger

Be not the hate given by others

We are more than this

Recognize clearly

We are reality and existence.

Well informed decisions cannot be made upon assumptions

Rumor mill

Or gossip...

You need to follow your heart

Wide open...

Tricks of the mind may sway you

But your mind will only replay things the heart cannot delete

Do not feel abandoned

An entire world of choices exist inside you

Plant your feet here

The deeper the roots

The harder they are to pull up

Forget to regret the past

You cannot change what has already happened

Be the beacon of light in the darkness

Search for your truth

Live it with happiness

Be bold

Acts of love do not require repayments

Compassion can be given for free

But respect has to be earned

Treasure your imperfections

For they are what makes you unique

Know the difference between love

And being lonely

Take a moment to breath

To remind yourself to be gentle with your being

And that you are doing the best that you can.

There are so many amazing views upon life

Some things can look the same...

Even though everything has changed

Heart beats link moments together

The mind in a fury of actions, feeling, and thoughts

We remind ourselves that we need to remember

In subtle and not so many subtle ways...

That we are loved...

And we love and care for...

The important, wanted, and needed

Our easy is anothers life altering difficult

The truth can be a burden carried alone

For others are not brave or strong enough to bare it

We are kind, gentle, and soft

There is honour in the protected

And faith and hope found within conviction

A ray of sunshine always awaits those stuck in darkness

Our minds are a very powerful thing

Happy is a right to be lived...

Don't ever allow anyone to tell you different

Let joy be as contagious as laughter

Smile that wild smile

Let tears rain

Absorbing into and from the heart

Embrace trembling hands

Hold that place of safety

Even if the only thing you have to offer is silently standing there

Be present in that moment...

See the beauty in forgetting to hold onto those things that no longer give us purpose

You've learned the lesson

Now, live passed it

We are all perfectly imperfect

The unique and one of a kind

Strive for any of this on any given day

And you will have not only lived, but existed as a being of this world
