"Silence You Keep"

Sometimes words are not needed

For the tears shed tell their own story...

We are the keeper of the life within us

And the dictionary that defines our being

You may know a persons name

But not their story

You've heard what they have done

But nothing of what they have been through

Sometimes we do what we must to survive

To make it through the darkness that we carry within us

For it can last longer than the night

Things in life will only repeat themselves until we learn from them

Not talking about our troubles doesn't work

And keeping them bottled inside doesn't make it hurt less

It hurts people we shut out as well...

Time cannot be bought

Every moment has to be lived

Borrowed...

Stolen...

Earned...

Or existed...

Three important things to remember

Health...

Happiness...

Heart...

Let go of the ghosts in the past

Stop the haunting

End the silence that keeps you

Find the root

The core of your being

Live it out

Its your every right to dwell within happiness

Dream...

Create...

Inspire...

Carve it out upon the great tapestry of reality

And when shadows fall over the rising sun

Its your turn to shine bright.

"Double Vision"

Here you stand

Upon your high pillar of righteousness

Screaming out to all who will listen

The list of wrong doings

A path of misfortune

Demons of wrong doings

Choices of darkness

Hidden agenda's

Corruption...

Destruction...

And an evil plan to bring ruin to all that people hold dear

All the while carrying a hate that matches no other force upon earth...

But here I stand

Bearing my own choices made

Listening to all that is around me

Learning from life 

Exploring my endless possibilities laid out before me 

I am creating my own path upon as well as within life

Existing in all the bright and vibrant moments

I am open to all that life has to offer

No one is perfect

We are all works in progress

I am forever optimistic, but I reside within reality

Because hope is for giving

And faith is something to believe in

Not to pass judgment upon

So believe in love as you do in life

With respect of humanity

Fill your heart

With a willing mind

Compassion in your soul

And love with arms wide open.

"Upon The Horizon"

I fear greatly for the person now lost

Deep within the changes of life

Your line of sight has swayed

The image of you has faded

The reflection within the mirror is a ghost of who you use to be

The anchor in your safe harbor has been up rooted

The beacon of light from your heart is no longer one of hope

Its now a search light calling out...

Casting is plea across the rising tide

The lines of worry tell volumes and stories across your face

There is a truth floating upon the surface of that you cannot hide

Many conflicting moments pull upon emotions

Waves of tears carry you

Is it sadness that you feel to what has been lost or departed?

Or is it that sweet relief that washes over you when you know everything will be okay?

Either way, don't fight it...

Let it embraces you ...

Making those sharp points of hurt smooth

Clean out the old thoughts

Refresh your heart, mind, body, and soul with new

You deserve the right to know your own happiness

Your heart is the ship sailing upon the ocean of life

Not all chances are lost

Keep a weather eye upon the horizon

The dawn of a new day awaits

With the breaking of light through the darkness.

"Remind Yourself"

Well informed decisions cannot be made upon assumptions

Rumor mill

Or gossip...

You need to follow your heart

Wide open...

Tricks of the mind may sway you

But your mind will only replay things the heart cannot delete

Do not feel abandoned

An entire world of choices exist inside you

Plant your feet here

The deeper the roots

The harder they are to pull up

Forget to regret the past

You cannot change what has already happened

Be the beacon of light in the darkness

Search for your truth

Live it with happiness

Be bold

Acts of love do not require repayments

Compassion can be given for free

But respect has to be earned

Treasure your imperfections

For they are what makes you unique

Know the difference between love

And being lonely

Take a moment to breath...

To remind yourself to be gentle with your being

And that you are doing the best that you can.

"Forgotten So Easily"

Moments are the building blocks of time

Life is fragile

Sometimes desperate...

Life is chances you never get back

You can't get to where you are now without the experiences you've already had

Good or bad...

Maybe that is why time holds us

Why it take us so long to make a choice

Because we may already know the answer

Why is it that we forget so easily...

That respect should be earned...

Honesty is meant to be appreciated...

Trust is gained...

And loyalty is what we return to another following all of those?

Why do some of us expect these expensive gifts

From people who are cheap with their words and actions?

Maybe we have to know the darkness

So we can appreciate the light

Making us know the true importance of the balance we keep in life

That we should not allow those around us to cast shadows upon our light

Simply because the are not brave enough to shine for themselves.

"One, Two, Three"

One step forward...

Another moment

This begins the first few steps of the next adventure

Hope given

A chance taken

Courage in choice

Promise in action

And brave in spirit

Possibilities may be endless

Second step...

Connections made

Conversation continues

Building blocks of a foundation

Firm roots planted in friendship

Now budding

Even and steady

There is good space to grow

We create the path we are upon

This marks the beginning

Where two strangers meet

And say hello...

Step three...

Let it all begin.

"Length Of A Moment"

Close the door

Shut the world away

Lock up all loose emotions

Hide within the light

For darkness lurks at every corner

Tears struggle

Holding tightly to their roots

They dare not fall

For if they begin to march their line

They will not cease till the battle is done

Hijacked is the life you once knew

No precedent has been set for this

You are feeling everything as it happens

Fresh...

Raw...

Bitter...

All movement forward is completely out of your hands

Fear embraces the unknown

Clinging to the broken pieces of life

Now hanging in the balance

Choices of right or wrong

Black or white...

Questions asked have no answer

Nothing can be found within this much uncertainty

You clutch onto everything that you use to know

Holding baited breath

Among the seconds ticking by

All the while waiting...

Hoping...

Praying...

Now bleeding into days passed

Life is shades of gray

Hour to hour we count

Trying to forget the last

Embraced by the realization

That we are here, struggling to make sense of it all

As you come to know the true length of time within a moment.
