Time can be a funny thing

Bringing with it such change

Some by force...

Other times by surprise

Or sometimes...

It can sing to you sweetly like the birds that greet you at dawn

Never-the-less change is all around us

It cannot be avoided

Its not just what we see

Its in the heart

Its what we feel

Sometimes the only way to know if something is worth it

Is to give it all you have

So fall head first into life

All the while remembering that love is the first gift you give yourself

You should never have to apologize for your happiness

Heed the warning that ones personal safety should never be an option

Life can be a battle

And devastation will have its moment to in your time line

But you must fight the good fight

Dig deeper for the strength to fight some more

And when your will wains

Those who love you deeply will lift you up and carry you through...

So embrace the moments

Vibrant

Scary

Beautiful

And colourful

Live it all

Live it well

Exist.

"Promise Always"

As I look at you

Looking at me

I hold onto the weight of your eyes

And realize...

This is exactly how I want to be seen

Hand in hand

Step by step

This is how we will begin to walk upon the path of life before us

Time holds no illusions

Every moment is here and now

Flexing our possibilities

Because a chance taken is hope given

As we care for this spark that has been ignited between us

We will let the candle light burn

Till the black velvet darkness holds us

And all the stars aline

I swear by the moon this solemn promise

Absolute truth...

Complete honesty...

And faith always...

That we care for one another enough not to let our emotions get the best of us

That we continue to cultivate this precious seeds of new hope

Tenderly...

All the while eagerly waiting...

As we actively watch them grow.

Sometimes those simple moments can hit you deep

Warming your heart

And radiating through your entire being

Pure in nature

Filled to the brim with hope

Or better yet

Happiness

A smile will strike out across your face

Like the bright rising sun of the morning

That welcomes a brand new day

Thanks is given for the chance taken

And the possibility made

Making you realize that this kind of happiness is priceless

That is why its net worth is limitless.

I wish you could see every part of me

And not just what you choose to view

To have the curiosity to know more

To dig deep into everything that is me

Unearth my passion

The heat at my core

Be brave enough to reach out and connect

Let fingers entwine

Hands palm to palm

Let all that has been in the past fade away

This is a new beginning

A step forward in the right direction

I give to you the deepest promise

Of absolute truth and caring respect

Expecting the same in return...

Hold tightly to these new emotions as they flow

Feel them through your heart and soul

Patience with kindness will let them naturally grow

Let the wind of change sway your heart from relationships past

Because I bear a light to help you out of the fallen darkness

Let these moments carry us to wherever they may lead

With opens hearts and open minds

Existing in every vibrant step laid out before us.

"First Kiss"

What would it be like?

To give yourself over to something so completely?

Skin to skin our bodies embrace

The warmth from your core heats me through mine

A shiver of intensity surges

The seconds speak

As you drop your head in between my neck and shoulder

I hear your breath inhale

Then, warmly exhale

Passion holds us

Our eyes meet in the middle

Making ourselves seen complete

Our lips touch

My breath catches in my mouth

My skin becomes a blanket of pin pricks

Tingling with excitement

If freedom ever felt like anything

It would be this moment.

"Simple Rules"

Time waits for no person...

And some thoughts leave you wondering

Some choices made cannot be undone

Actions put in motion can rarely be stopped

Ones intentions should always be made clear

Open the lines of communication and speak direct

Eye to eye

With words on the level

Games played will result in consequences gained

Lies and denial are the path that lead you astray

And doubt always means don't.

There is a point in time in life

Where you get to old to be governed by the fear of others

Because our choices are just that

So own them

Making the hardest part about caring for anything in this world

Is that you do...

Be not the ideals and judgment that you preach

Instead be the change and the example you wish others to follow

Be living proof that change is possible

Open your mind

Challenge your expectations

And show others that its never to late to learn

We are not the wrong assumptions made against us

Our imagination is just that

Ours...

To create with, work with, and control

Love with all your heart

Hold compassion for yourself as well as for others

Belief in ones self and others is the most important

And the words spoken with unfailing faith of “I understand”

Are all ties that bind

Carrying endless meaning to those who receive it

Exist in the world

This is where I am found
