"Keep The Silence"

As a man known for words

I have come to know as of late just exactly how to keep the silence

I am almost at the point of were I refuse to speak

Man enough to admit it

I keep the silence

Time. patients, and energy are three very large things I am lacking these days

Too many times as of late I have been coloured red

The fight within me leaves me shaking

I've asked repeatedly for you to help keep the silence

But requests go ignored

So, I leave you with my final warning...

If I am forced to speak

I could break so many things with my truth
Turn a whole world upside down
I could change a life with my honesty
My secrets could burn holes in supposed reality
I could scar someone deeper than I could ever scar myself
This is how I will fight back

With my words...

Confessions of absolute truth

Charged with ammunition that has been willingly given to me

So, go ahead and push me more

Make me break the silence that I have been keeping.

"With Life and Love"

With the highs and lows of life

And everything in between

The endeavor for love can seem endless

We all go through or have storms in our lives

We just never know how long they will last...

Or when we make the conscience choice to no longer stand out in the pouring rain

Some people create there own happiness

While others pursue it...

But when looking for love

It may be rarely found

Not until you turn a blind eye

Then it will sneak up on you

Holding you deep

The best kind of love is the one that awakens your soul

And makes you reach out for more

It plants a thousand burning fires in your heart

While bringing a calming peace to your mind

Everything will seem possible

Because this is the love that we all deserve

And nothing less...

So fall in love with someone who deserves your heart

Not someone who plays with it...

And just because someone doesn't love you back the exact way that you want them to

Does not mean that they still don't love you...

With all they have.

With creation, comes new life

Which forever changes all the steps here after this moment

Hand in hand holding

Strong

Embraced deeply with rich love

Bound by that divine connection that cannot be broken

Eyes of wonder searching

Learning

Taking in the sight of the new world

Innocence tender and soft

Limitless imagination unending

All waiting to be released

As you begin with your first few steps upon this earth

Parents and loved ones watch over

Guardians and witnesses of growth

Protectors of this beaming soul

Bearer of strength and encouragement

We are all here

Through it all

Storm clouds and sunshine

Never ending

And ever lasting

Hold yourself still

Steal in the silence

Let your tears fall

Rest your head upon my shoulder

Fall into my embrace

Let the darkness fall

Rest your weary being

I will watch steadily over you as you sleep

For I am the beating of your heart

I am the persistently strong breathing

I am the in and the out

The rise and the fall

I am the force as well as the source

I am the lyrics being re-written

I am the new rhythm of your heart

I am the hushed silence and stillness in your soul

I see your wants

And brace strong your dreams

I feel your need for clarification

So be one with peace

And be patient with me

For I am only trying my best to help you

To balance out and restore harmony within your life once again.

"Time Fades"

I thought of you today...

But that is nothing new to me...

Especially around this time of the year

Because so long ago in days passed

Everything moved ever so slow

Now, years later...

I wonder just where the years have gone

All bitterness, anger, and betrayal has rounded off to nothing

With multiple moments passing

I forgot to even take notice to the fact that I was moving forward

Instead of standing still

A lot of things have changed

And I have grown into a different being

Fond memories have faded...

But that is okay...

Even the vision of you is not so crisp in my minds eye

Some how I am better for it

And I know it

Having loved and lost

I have found more of myself

Piece by piece

"A Kiss To Hold"

In the silence of the night

I lie awake with your name upon my lips

My restless limbs long to hold you again

My mouth yearns for yours

To continue to explore the hidden curvatures of your body

To have conversations with your skin and my fingertips

My senses etch out memories that are held golden within my heart

You have ignited a passion of poetry and prose deep within my soul

I wait for that moment when I can see you again

But until then...

I hold fierce to the last thing before you left

And that is your whispered breath against my kiss crushed lips.

"Pillar Among Ruins"

With the days that have long since passed behind me

Comes a slow and steady ease

A release of tension upon my being

The weight bares down upon me no more

Time has gradually done its part by removing the mess left behind

Peace has found me from broken pieces

Though the fallout reached further that I could have imagined...

The ripples upon the lake of life are finally still

Calm sunshine breaks out over the still waters

We all move on from these series of unfortunate events

Anchored once again are my feet

Solid strong to where I stand

Fading upon the horizon is all the tomorrow's that never came

The ones that were filled to the brim with empty promises and broken bonds of friendship

Threatening to darken every doorway of today

But fortune has swayed

And the winds have changed

I am thankful for this

That throughout all this change

I remain...

A pillar among ruins.
