"More Than Waiting"

Through time...

The moments had built between us

Beyond what they appeared to the eye

As well as the heart...

The once steady and firm grip trembled...

My footing was no longer stable

Holding out hope lingered for far too long

Choices and decisions had to be made

The heart can only break for so long

With life and luck

Time moved forward

I grew passed the moments that once held me still

I had to learn to be more than “Waiting for you to be ready”

And wanting you to care as much as I did

With prayers unanswered

And questions lingering

The mind did the only thing that it could do with that much uncertainty...
