Its been five years and counting...
Every day adds up when looking back to that day
The circle has finally come to an end
Everything has stopped spinning and repeating itself
Peace has been found from broken pieces long ago
In these long lost moments of reflection
I find myself from time to time
Assuring myself that things are still better off now
There is no more second guessing or torment
I have long since passed the turning point or proverbial fork in the road
Digging up the past only gets you dirty
Or it buries you with the best forgotten
Because of you, my life changed
I came to know darkness rather well
Abandonment was a large hole to fill
For a long time my ears would peak to the sounds of receding footsteps
To the lyric of a song
Everything seemed to have a flash of memory attached to it
From where I was...
To who I am now...
The miles of growth both internal and external burst out with the sunlight
Pushing all of you so far back, that it is now beyond me
Reminding me that life is always speaking to us
