Two truths...

Healing is hard...

But healing is also worth it...

Life reminds us that real closure is being okay with unfinished endings

With messy conclusions...

And with so many words left unsaid...

There will always be criticism received from others on your progress

Because the better version of you now, may no longer tolerate their behaviour from before...

The way people treat you is more of a defining statement of them, than about your being

Never apologize for your strength...

For surviving that which would leave others upon their knees

Release the heaviness...

Holding a grudge is not a sign of power...

It only ever keeps you bitter...

Forgiveness is never a weakness

It sets you free...

Life reminds us of so many things daily

The hard, the easy, and the life changing difficult...

Sometimes the place that you are use to is not the place you belong

You cannot change that which you refuse to confront

Sometimes we have to leave people behind...

Simply because they lack the ability to grow with us

Causing us to accept situations that will never change

Repetition is the circle that never ends...

We define our being...

So when we hear your past calling, end the debate now to answer

Remind yourself the reasons why you are no longer there

Allow the rush of emotions to flow through you

Acknowledge what was...

Pain always wants to be owned...

Let the ease of relief wash over you..

Feet are motion forward, not back

Because the being you once were...

Does not live there anymore.

One step at a time...

One day after another...

Yesterday becomes today...

And these moments now are all for you...

Because all small changes matter...

There is only ever two days that nothing can ever be done

One is called yesterday and the other is called tomorrow

These moments now are for you...

May you continue to disappoint those who place unfair expectations upon you

Never allow them to limit you to their narrow world view

Never play along with their created narrative they have made for you

Don't allow your past wounds to turn you into a being you are not

Because like all things, there is a beginning, a middle, and end

It's understanding how the difference changes everything

If someone shows you their true colours the first time,

don't try to repaint them

Misunderstandings abandoned in time only become the reasons for permanent distance

And constant forgiveness always ends with disconnect

The touch of pain has memory...

It's not the load that weighs you down, it's the way you carry it with you...

Making you realize that it's not really letting go of the past that is the problem

It's coming to terms with releasing the future that was never held

A lesson that is very hard to learn...

To surrender all that was to time...

By being present now, to the best of your ability...

To avoid places and people that require a reduced version of you to exist

Be you always and abundantly...

Practice patience and accept what you feel...

Stop punishing yourself for things you did not know at the time

Give yourself kindness and the benefit of the doubt

A few bad moments does not equal a bad life

Temporary discomfort is not meant to be permanent

All moments carry a space of growth

Burn bright the light within...

A flicker in the dark still counts...

What dims is still burning...

To shine bright once again.

"Leaves Its Mark"

You are every moment...

All that has built you to now...

Even all that has tried to destroy you...

And the scares are proof that you showed up within life...

Existed...

Experienced it to full measure...

And fought back...

Sometimes you don't want to let go things until the bitter end

Even the pain...

Because that is the last link to what you have lost

The realization comes to you now that you are destined to repeat what is not repaired

Whether its a bad habit, unresolved issues, or a past mistake

Turning a blind eye to it only keeps your being stuck within the same loop

As difficult as it may be, face what needs fixing, and move forward passed it

Growth can only happen when you take action and allow it

You can't be everything to everyone, and nothing to yourself

Heal to the best of your ability, so you can hear whats being said without the filter of your wounds

Those who try to rewrite history are those who are trying to escape accountability

Some people simply hate you because they have failed to destroy you

Stop letting people who are at war with themselves create so much chaos within you

And yes, maybe you hold on a little too long to those people who no longer deserve you

Simply because you have more good in our heart than they do...

Hard lessons learned should only be like a bruise

It hurts in the beginning and leaves its mark

But it eventually does fade...

It should never be a permanent mark upon you...

Never underestimate the strength it takes to pick your soul up off the ground after a fall

To raise yourself back up upon your own two feet

Clawing back your life with your bare hands everyday without setting the heavy weight down

Those who carry out these actions are not weak...

They are not fragile...

And they are not broken...

They are redefining the word strength by surviving.

"Past Echoes"

Mindset is everything...

It's a realization worth understanding...

Because sometimes we want what we don't need...

It can take the being a long time to comprehend that not everything has a beautiful story

Not every person we feel something deep and moving for is meant to make a home within us

Sometimes the lesson is brief and short, yet can last a lifetime...

Reality is this, that we can miss something, and never want it back

No one ever truly talks about the strength it takes to stand with the decision to care for another at a distance

Some people would prefer to pretend that they didn't have feelings about it because it is uncomfortable

While others perceive it as emotionally weak

Society has created this false image...

So you are right, no one really talks about it, and very few speak openly about it...

Of how cutting a being from your life comes with so many stages of grief

Knowing that it is not what you wanted, but it has to be done out of necessity for the care of your well-being...

That honesty is not a goal to be achieved...

It is a standard with care...

You are allowed to hold people accountable

It unfortunately hurts for a reason...

To remind us of the cause and why...

This is why feelings never easily die

Especially when we keep feeding them with memories

Making the first few steps forward of moving on the hardest taken

Because silence can mean many things...

It can carry the presence of everything we are afraid to say

Or it can hold the absence of words within silence

Direction is more important than speed...

Choose you always...

You are not defined by your past or your mistakes

Echoes of what was can fade...

Tomorrow whispers of another chance from the darkness

To grow beyond and be better than before...

Making this one of the beautiful things about life...

That there is always the possibility for change.
