Pause...

Take a moment...

Be the rest you need...

Life is always the teacher

And we are the forever student

One of the hardest lessons learned is letting go

Whether it is love, anger, loss, guilt, or betrayal...

Change no matter what is never easy

We fight to hold on and we fight to let go

It is a hard practice to endure

To let life be, unfolding as it comes

And it has nothing to do with giving up

It simply means, sometimes, instead of figuring it out, you have to wait it out

Feel it, don't force it...

Patience, not pressure...

And to have hope over fear...

Communication isn't just about talking, it is how you listen as well

Examine what you tolerate

Don't give more power to the problem

In another beings hesitation you can find answers

Accountability will always feel like an attack when they are not ready to acknowledge that their behavior has harmed others

Because anger will always come to you, from them

Especially when you choose your peace over their chaos

And distance over disrespect...

Making the approaching end result known

You have continued to forgive them, until you no longer know them

And by disconnecting that last tethered embrace...

Is when you realize just how fast someone can become a stranger

And with no control over them...

Being compassionate and authentic to yourself

Remains the power you have.
