Through the endurance of our heart, mind, body, and soul...

We give existence to living...

Our daily lives are lessons learned

All done through the seasons and months created

We become the choices made

How we live matters...

Eyes are always watching

For the good, the bad, and the ugly

It is all within the spectrum of humanity

Some never realize how they light up a room

How they inspire those around them by just being themselves

While others, sadly, cause more darkness...

They don't care if their mark upon the world around them is a scar

How much does forgiveness cost?

How easily do some forget...

To be human over righteousness...

That most of us get to watch other people's storms from the shelter of our own perspectives

The sad reality is that hurt people begin to care a little less...

About themselves, and those around them...

So why not offer some humility

To be seen and to be known...

Maybe “being healed” is an illusion imposed by society...

That we value end goals over the process itself...

But what if there is some form of beauty found within the effort made

Like the horizon, colour of the day comes after blackness of night

What if we are the destination?

We are the worth in the journey within in life

Because as we are always told, there is no promise of tomorrow...

Which makes the future a concept that has yet to exist

Making this here and now possibly the only thing that will ever be

Today...

The eternal present of now.

The last days of this year's final season has dawned upon us...

Twelve months filled with all days now counted...

Endless moments and memories added together

Making this life filled to the brim with existence

It is the human condition we find ourselves in

To have loved and lost...

To remember or attempt to forget...

Like all words spoken, they can plant seeds of growth

Or ignite ember's deep within us that burn like a raging storm

This is where we are the difference

We define the definition of living

Are we the shadows cast?

Or are we the keeper of our light within?

The dark parts of life can always be troubling, because there will always be loss...

But as hard as those may be...

We must equally remember the victories gained

Like trees with deep roots planted, they to lose their leaves every year

And still stand tall and wait for better days ahead

Strength always grows within those times when you think that you can't

But you manage to keep going anyway...

Just like laughter a midst the hardest parts, it is evidence that hope still exists

As we remember this:

Love needs action...

Trust needs proof..

And the word sorry always should be followed by change

Making this your promise now:

To the person you were, you did your best...

To the person you are, love them as best as you can...

To the person you are becoming, keep going...

And be proud of surviving...

Because the future holds everything for you as we continue to rise...

As hard as it may be...

We must stop seeing ourselves through the eyes of those who never saw us...

Because those who have repeatedly harmed us...

Will only ever create false narratives of the experiences with your character

And by doing this, they are creating a double edged sword

In order to be honest about who you are, they would have to reveal what they have done to you

Making this one of those moments within life...

When it takes most of your strength to be the bigger person

By letting it pass without reaction...

You are not their darkness...

You have fought to be here...

It is your right to stand within the light

Refuse to entertain those “what ifs” and “should haves”

The uncertainty will only ever eat away at the foundation of your being

Causing their intent to come to pass...

The erosion of everything that is you...

Which now brings forth one of the hardest lessons within life to live through

The act of surrendering to the release...

We fight to hold on, and we fight to let go

So why hang on to that which is no longer asking to be held...

Strength can come from silence...

Change is never said to be easy

A little broke is not unfixable...

There is beauty in difference...

And power within understanding

Fight for the moments you have endured

That ownership belongs to you

Bid all yesterday's a farewell...

Embrace this new day right here and now...

Breathe...

Allow the silence..

Try your best to not personalize or internalize other people's behavior

What they do and say in not a reflection of you

Their actions are entirely their own

And should not affect your growth...

Because at the end of it all, you will never be able to change their mind

You will never be able to make someone hear what they are unwilling to see

Making this the saddest part of all...

When they have been beside you all along, listening to everything that you have been through...

Then putting you through it all over again...

Which now gives you the permission to declutter your life

Remove what and who does not fit anymore

It's not out of malice or cruelty...

But becomes a necessity of survival

Return yourself to a semi-balanced life

Existence is not perfection...

One thing we cannot do is carry the entire weight of the world upon us

And still expect to keep up with the pace of everyday life

Try your best...

To keep trying...

Sometimes it is the only promise to be given

It takes getting through the tough times to understand our strengths

We would never ask for those trials and tribulations

In their own odd way, they have helped us realize the powerof survival carried within us

Boundaries are meant for you...

They are personal tolerances for human behavior toward you, and should be asserted when needed...

As hard as it may be, loyalty can keep us in some situations where common sense should have gotten us out of

The sad part of reality is that there will always be deception and lies

And those deceitful words spoken may not be entirely meant to hide the truth

But to deceive you into making choices that won't serve their interests

Words spin sentences together forming a story

Turning you into the monster they wished to make you

All the while never mentioning the chapter in which they made you into this horrible beast

We are only human...

It can take us a long time to realize and understand...

That not everything in life is a beautiful story

Sometimes, somethings come into our lives to simply teach us a lesson, then leave...

It is the knowledge gained that will always remain

Even if it's the bitter hard truth

Because life is reflective...

The mirror of reality stares back at us

Filled to the brim with moments of existence within life

The years have added themselves together, forging our path forward

Heartaches, goals obtained, and dreams made...

Like everything in life we are more than what appears on the surface

Each step defines us along this journey

And sometimes, healing hurts more than the wound ever did

Because we now understand what it's like to live, after people have left...

We are the difference in the definition made

Regardless of any faults or blame...

Why can't we cling to the good, as much as we do the bad?

Why is such importance put upon the wrong side?

Worrying is like worshiping the problem...

We have the ability within us to change that...

Don't sabotage your peace for chaos, simply because it is what you have gotten use to

Listen to the silence, it's telling the truth

Remind yourself of the difference

Comparison is only ever the thief of joy

That is the only reason circles exist, because they are excruciating to break

It takes such a large amount of strength, courage and pain to change a familiar pattern

Making it the strangest paradox that we bear

We are told to choose our battles wisely, yet we tend to be more at war with ourselves than others...

Then carry those scars and other wounds of all the battles we have avoided

Making all of these parts of our story told so far...

Messy, raw and real...

Filled to the brim with moments

Some wished to be erased...

And others are how we discovered safety within grace

How odd is it, that another being can hate you, by how others love you...

This is how we are taught about the bitterness within truth

Reactive abuse happens when someone pushes you too far, until you act out of character

Then, they shame you for your reaction...

Making the words, “I'm sorry” and “forgive me” part of sentences that are now completely worn out

Which brings us to an end we have long seen coming

That continued disrespect like that will always close more doors...

Than any failed apologies can ever reopen

Reminding us that life is constant motion of give and take

Give thanks for things seen and realized

And rise above it all.

You are allowed to unlearn who you have been, if that is who you no longer wish to be

You cannot change what you refuse to confront

Yes or no...

Let it pass, or refuse to go...

It takes the choice made

Strength in the decision chosen

And the conviction embraced within it

Either way, change is hard...

Acknowledge that position in power

Where you stand matters...

It's the pivoting point from turning away from what was, to all that could be

Never underestimate that value contained within it

It is either for the betterment of gain, or the loss of giving up...

Yes, there will always be wounds that will never show upon our skin

Simply because they are more deeper and hurtful than anything that bleeds

Powerful words are just like actions, very rarely do they come attached to an eraser...

And continued behaviors that remain the same never lie...

Unfortunately, people always seem to abuse the soft spot that you have for them until you realize it is no longer there...

So, close some doors as needed...

Not because of revenge, but because you no longer contain the capacity to hold onto the hurt and pain received...

It is this denial within reality that only causes the loss of your sanity

Reminding us always, that how others act and travel is their life path taken

How we follow or lead, is our power realized.

And it has nothing to do with giving up

Examine what you tolerate

Don't give more power to the problem

In another beings hesitation you can find answers

Accountability will always feel like an attack when they are not ready to acknowledge that their behavior has harmed others

And distance over disrespect...

Making the approaching end result known

You have continued to forgive them, until you no longer know them

And by disconnecting that last tethered embrace...

Is when you realize just how fast someone can become a stranger

And with no control over them...

Being compassionate and authentic to yourself

Especially if you are always a being that gives the most

A sentence to believe...

It is the most difficult battle we will ever fight

We can only attempt to do our best

Why is it that those who have never lived our lives have so much to say about it?

Yet we let them tie our laces, forcing us to walk within shoes we never wanted to wear...

Just because they have allowed themselves to become cruel, does not mean we have to follow

Loyalty...

Respect...

Or even kindness does not mean you have to receive unlimited pain from broken people

Because criticism from those who have only traumatized us, is manipulation...

And unconditional love, does not mean unconditional tolerance...

The ownership of our being is our right to own

We are more a like, than all created differences

Our pain is not exclusive...

Just like our individual beauty is not ordinary

There is a thread linking it all...

The unknown gives us a chance to learn

Don't let history dictate destiny

We are who are supposed to be

We are not perfection...

We are human beings living within humanity

Be clear upon your presence...

We are the first break of light...

Are thieves, stealing everything that does not belong to them

Turn wounds into wisdom gained

Accept full responsibility for your life by making your decision known

Mistakes do not define everything that we are

Growth comes from all experience

It gives us the determination to succeed

Our past should stay where it is and be left laid to rest

Making our new beginning better than any setback ever was.

Growth is a dance, not a light switch

The decision to move on from a hardship is not automatic

The choice has to be taken

You are never obligated to sacrifice your inner peace

No one else gets to decide if your pain is valid

Offer yourself some protection

No one needs full access to you at all times

Be the keeper of your light

Be selective...

Not everything that calls your name, needs an answer

We are who we are because of the darkness we've survived

Because when trust is completely broken, “I'm sorry,” means nothing...

These are the hard lessons within struggle that are worth learning

Remember...

Today is temporary...

There is no promises of forever...

Failure is a matter of perspective

Make the choice...

To heal and recover...

Or to stall and wait...

Give the permission to change from what was yesterday

Allow yourself to feel the feelings

Just don't become the entire emotion

Witness it...

Own it...

Then release it...

To accept yourself means forgiveness

Forgive yourself for all that you were

We are not our scars...

Though our foundation may be built upon some of them

We are not our fear or pain

The definition of our being is existence

Understand the difference between word and action

Mixed signals received should always be considered as “no...”

As hard as it may be, we must stop being so considerate in situations where we were never considered

And as brutal as it may be, the truth does set you free...

You just have to recognize which lies continue to keep you hostage...

Refuse to give anyone else the power of you

Never change the heart of your being

Guard the right of those who have access to it

Because everything and everyone in life comes to us as a teacher

Pay attention to the lesson...

And try to learn quickly.

Moments are here and now...

Waiting and passing by...

When understanding is realized...

Confidence begins to grow

Everything is within your power

And that strength is contained within you

Release the heaviness...

It only carries emptiness and chaos

Do not hold onto those beings so tightly who always give you less

When you only continue to give more...

Allow your vision to be clear...

Sometimes people will act like you're difficult and hard to deal with

When in truth, you are just hard to fool...

The dark negative convinces us a grudge should be held

Because the belief is made that there is still something owing to us

When the true reality is forgiveness to ourselves...

Acknowledge the hurt and the bitter lesson learned

Step away from those who have trespassed against you

Especially when they play the victim to the crimes they have committed

Confront the darkness...

Stop it in its tracks...

Deny it access...

Banish it with the truth of illumination...

Do not wait for all of life's variables to be perfectly in place

Use whatever tools you may have at your disposal

To heal you have to hurt...

And a heart that has been broken, has had the ability to love

Begin now...

Ignore perfection...

Reality cannot fit within that definition

Because existence is experiences in constant motion.

A year in life brings so much change...

Yesterday is on the road behind you...

Today is the steps leading you to so many moments of existence...

Through understanding the upper hand is gained

And the difference comes to be known...

No one can trash your name quicker than someone who is worried about you telling the truth

You cannot fix someones misunderstanding of you

Especially when your intentions have always been clear

This makes us nothing more and nothing less than who we are

But even in brief times of doubt...

Remind yourselves of the beauty that you are

See the magnitude of the human being within

We all have scares that carry whispers of the dark

But the best part is...

We are all continued works in progress

Pain heals when you start learning from it

The power of control is within your hands

So when that feeling comes to be, that you don't want this for yourself anymore...

It becomes a valid reason to stop...

Reevaluate everything as much as it needs to be...

The right of this choice is yours to own

Set your intention and let it be known

That repeating a mistake is a choice...

And that sometimes we need to take a deep breath

Hold ourselves in the direction we wish to be

And step passed that which tried to bury us or hold us to the past

Acknowledge the reflection of the mirror

The differences seen are what makes us who we are

And when the attempt is made to try to set you back

Choosing your well being in happiness takes precedence above that...

Moments hold you...

Senses perk to awareness...

As you acknowledge the unpopular fact...

That there is still grief in letting go of those things that no longer serve you well...

Because there is never a “right” time

There is just time and what we do with it

Identifying the pattern becomes awareness

Choosing not to repeat that cycle is growth achieved

Criticism given usually only comes from those who do not know the price you have paid

Each step has been a battle...

Small or great...

Fought and won...

Or lost and managed to endure...

So when judgment is so harshly passed

Deny the act of shame given...

Because it only cultivates internalized abandonment, until it shades your daily existence...

Refuse to apologize for your survival and fortitude

Submission is only ever servitude...

And silence becomes confirmation complete

No one gets to control your volume of passion

Do not be an echo of the past

You are not where you came from

Learn to trust that there is a tomorrow waiting beyond what you can see today

Letting go while holding on is the wisdom learned and the strength earned

Don't give up on the person you are becoming

The power is held within your hands

Be a better you, for you...

Because we cannot force ourselves into change...

We can only love ourselves into personal evolution.

Allow the moments to settle...

Your gut instinct is not a liar, it's caution raised for a reason...

Process through the feelings and emotions

Stop romanticizing the pain...

This is not the only thing you deserve

Validate the real...

Never dismiss your intuition

If its out of your hands, then it should be released from your mind as well

There is no golden rule of absolute...

That you must take your past pain and make it into something beautiful

You are no lesser of a person if you can't...

Sometimes awful things happen and there is no desirable appeal within the debris

And you have no responsibility to carry that weight of rubble with you

You cannot hate yourself into a version of yourself that you can love...

Nothing occurs within us automatically

A decision has to be made to give it the permission to happen

One page within our story does not define the entire chapter

There is so much more to the story rather than the paragraph that you are currently stuck upon

Action is the root of growth when change comes to be

Perspective can and will be altered

The line of sight becomes bigger...

The mind steps back, looking at the entire picture ahead

Acknowledge the power and the gravity of choice

There is no denying the hardship faced and the difficulty of it all

Compassion dreads the execution of it all...

Because its the final choice of change

There is no returning to yesterday...

And today cannot be lived in experience by avoiding it

We are all merely moments of existence

Living within the day given...

Like the sun, we are a ray of light breaking out from the darkness at dawn

To embrace the strength we need to honour ourselves...

By granting the allowance to begin again.

Self-care...

Self-worth...

And self-love...

Whether we are ready or not

We are reminded everyday that life moves on

Regardless if we choose to take a chance

Or remain buried within the past...

But what we truly fail to realize is this one thing

That who we were, who we are, and who we have yet to become...

Are three different people

Similarities will carry through, but we are change always

We are life in constant motion

Its evolution of emotion

Learning, loving, and creating...

The end of everything can be the beginning of something

Remember the simple things that keep your being held within your heart of your soul

Where the base, the root, and the core of you comes to be

Believe in the existence of life beyond yesterday

Alter the perspective in view

Because if we spend all of our time thinking about the before and after...

We will miss out on the here and now right in front of us.
