This moment waits...

Another footstep...

An answer calls...

Through painful realization

The truth comes to light

Through the shaded darkness

Honesty is revealed...

The bitter taste of acknowledge is now known

We have reached the full length of this path

Fault only ever seems to be found...

In every act of defense...

Pain should never be a competition

But when an act of war is disguised with love

The penalty for such betrayal comes swift

For the heart has every right to fortify its defenses

Against such a cowardly attack

Eyes open...

This is the scene...

Amongst the emotional storm

The end result of pride over riding compassion

Vindication supersedes validation

The power to be right and justified

As endless judgment comes to pass

How far has dignity fallen?

One being unwilling to stay..

And another unwilling to leave it be...

The soul deserves better than this

But time is history...

The past is experience...

And tomorrow should be the new hope

So with conviction laid

Strength is found within the peace

That only comes when we must say goodbye...

Because these moments have trespassed against our being

Forcing a heart to choose

Now becomes the gamble
