As we cry into the
moonless night
Our thoughts run away
with our minds
The pressure will
always build, blocking us in
The light at the end of
the road always seems to fade
As we privately
struggle endlessly, before we search for a helping hand
The path before us will
be shaded by confusion
Making us feel lost
before we have even begun to be found
Locked away within the
prison of our minds
Our vision blurs with
multiple tears...
As we desperately
scramble for the key to release us
Temptation will bribe
our hearts
Because surrendering to
the nothingness is all too easy
Seconds drag to moments
Will time ever pass?
Testing ourselves to
the point of breaking
Hurdles and hoops have
no power over the dark draining force of depression
But in the midst of it
all...
One must try to
struggle to remember that boundaries are to be respected
Limits have to be
understood...
And goals in life
should always be realistic
A last chance can only
be fleeting steps behind us
While we remember that
the past makes us who we are, and we live with that everyday
So don't allow the
silence to become louder than your voice
We all have our
battles...
And wounds...
The choice is your very
own to make
Scars can be a proof of
a moment of weakness
Or they can be a sign
of strength
Speak up, and speak out
Reach out, and do your
best to ask for a helping hand
If its the last thing
that you do...
Please...
Reach out...
Save yourself before
you fall
Let your voice reach to
a listening ear
Because the unfortunate
thing about the loudest of screams
Is that they will
always fade
If you don't allow
someone in to listen.
