These days each step
takes a little longer to take
Another day you have
pulled yourself through
Screaming whispers fall
Along with every
emotion contained within your heart
Grasping at old
thoughts of love
It all seems useless
now
All that once was is
changed
Shadows hide in plain
sight from dawn till dusk
Bringing disturbance to
the life you were living
What was once found is
lost
Reminding you that the
wind of change is always blowing
And just because we
turn our backs upon it
Still does not mean
that it does not move us
Because this is how you
find yourself here
Stuck in the moments of
past and present
Abandoned and drifting
upon the wind
Life has become numb...
Something that you wish
desperately you could avoid
But, life waits for no
one...
So you force yourself
to keep moving
Even if its in the
direction of now where
Or around another
twisted circle
Because for now,
nothing else can be done
Not until the dust
settles
And life resembles
something more than something that use to be
So with your hand upon
the door
You check the
reflection once again in the mirror
And it looks a lot like
you.
