Another year about to begin

The new promise it ushers in

A fresh start and we begin at day one

A new page within the book of life

Another chapter to write

Naturally, we begin to sum up all the moments

The good with the bad mix together

Lessons learned and mistakes made

Growth within the eyes of the world

We bare witness to this every day

Never underestimate the power of words

A good frank discussion about the adventures had

Honest and naturally true

Let your arms embrace with understanding

Take confidence in the fact that being afraid is to be human

The cost is forever weighted

Life's natural balance

Its fate and its sometimes wicked sense of humor

We love who we love and should not have to apologize for that...

And some people only may enter our world briefly

Leaving vibrant memories in their wake as they leave

Pause within the simple moments and take it all in

So when our mind fails in times of pain and darkness

Acknowledge that we are more than these moments that hold us still

Allow your heart to seek the help it needs

By placing one foot in front of the other

Moving from where you stand, is the act of survival

Its where it takes root...

So when your eyes, heart, and emotions flow over the passed year in reflection

Remember always...

We are human

And this is life...

All that you can ever do is be you
