"Not A Love Poem"

The words that follow in the lines to come do not belong to any part of a love poem
The words written down are the ones that are in the shapes of needles
The ones that poke holes in my heart
Causing it to bleed faster than words can be spoken
No use worrying yourself over spilled blood
Especially when there is no more caring held within your heart
Blood drops splatter onto the hungry ground
They evaporate into thin air just like the love that was once contained in your heart
Like I said, this is not a love poem...
Instead of sweet melodies of our love song
Raw fury erupts through me
Everything within me wants to throw numerous verbal grenades
Even though I already know they will fall upon deaf ears
Have I mentioned yet that this is not a love poem...
Love has lost its worth
Pictures taken of happier times only show what use to be
I surrender myself to the realization
That you cut me out of your life without showing a single ounce of emotion
This is why this is not a love poem
And every love poem I did write will wither
Because they are written to a person I no longer know
My words flow faster than anger can peak...
They will not sit idly by tingling in my finger tips
They yearn to be free, expressed, and documented
Scribbled out in bright red ink and mounted upon your wall
Reminding you every single moment of every day that this is not a love poem
This is my heart screaming at you at the top of its lungs
I am here...
Standing alone, wounded, and exposed
This is why this is not a love poem...
If you even dare to read it
But I know you won't...
Because the coward within you has already told you to run
Leaving abandonment in your wake
With multiple questions left unanswered
It forces me to write this...
That this is not a love poem.
