"Shadows..."

Today I have begun to see shadows where ever I go

Its everything that is you lingering around

Playing tricks with my senses

Multiple tender moments have yet to fade

My heart has only just begun to beat the same again

There are days that I catch myself falling back through memories

My voice is tempted to call out to you

But deep down I know

I will never breath your love again

Saddled with this new truth

Its a hard realization to bare

I cry silently through the passing

So where does time go between hello and goodbye?

What is the next step beyond moving on?

Because right now in this very moment

One day at a time seems like a very big step

When you are starting from a new beginning.
