Waiting upon the edge
Here in a moment frozen
Holding still
Where time stops
Silence screams
Seconds tick by slowly,
almost in reverse
Eternity comes and goes
Tears are afraid to
fall
But linger none the
less
Hiding close by
Just in case they are
needed
Nerves fray
Every heartbeat is
intimately known
Because every feeling,
emotion, and movement here after is raw
Cut deep to the core
Changing everything
that now lies before every footstep forward.
