"A Smile Speaks"

My vision is reduced to faint light, dark shades, and angles in space
Against the bright light of your foreground
I study the shadows of you
Looking into space at nothing
You look a little haunted
And excitingly mysterious
Our eyes cross with a hint of intrigue
Mine fill with all the knowing that you have suddenly made the edges of my melt smooth
And yours dart away timidly
But return with an intensely welcoming stare
In that instant
Feelings fan up from my fingertips as if an ice cold glass of water has just been thrown upon my hand
And spreading at lightening speed throughout my entire body
Here in these delectable moments there is a sign
A signal in the knowing and a genuine interest that your face and body cannot hide
My jugular vain pulses
You are flushed with heat
Your cheeks turn a shade of rosy red
I smile...
You curl your lips into a deliciously sinful smile
And give me a knowledgeable nod in kind
And you leave me only to wonder
That the truth is in the telling
But the secret is in the knowing.
