"Protection of You"

 

Before it can happen...

There is a choice to be made...

The first step in getting anywhere is deciding that you're no longer willing to stay where you are...

Every single being around you has a story

Pages within chapters of the history of their lives

Each filled to the brim with so many moments of living

Some equaled and balanced, while others push your limits to the extreme

And in times of doubt when you are left struggling...

Try to remember that there is nothing truly wrong with the core of your being

You are human, and you are still learning...

Or sometimes you are still trying to unlearn...

So many unreliable patterns and wounds you were told you should never let heal

Simply because it is now believed that it is your only identity

You must do your best to never form opinions of yourself based on a season of pain

Personal development only occurs when you choose accountability over excuses

You have the capacity to believe, now realize the difference when seen...

There is no rule saying you must accept the fact that someone stole parts from your being

They crossed the line, you didn't...

Making it beyond difficult to even think about repairing a bond you never broke

Some people are great at just giving you enough hope to keep you holding onto nothing

Disrespect will always close more doors than halfhearted apologies can ever reopen

Because for some, the hardest language for them to speak is the truth

This is why you must try to be wise enough to listen to what a person is not saying

Be prepared for rejection when you refuse to be manipulated...

Which tends to render our words of defense to nothing...

But thankfully they cannot misquote your silence...

Making you understand the lesson of forgiveness to yourself

That there is no tolerance for their behavior

And there will never be trust placed within their hands ever again

So allow yourself to be selective

Protect your time and being...

Not everything that calls your name deserves to be answered.

"Purpose in Choice"

 

Whatever happens tomorrow...

You still have today...

Never take the light for granted

Because darkness is always there lurking, at the ready to seep in when your guard is down

It's astounding that such an eagerness can exist within this world

That some beings wish to destroy you....

And then find your survival offensive

But understand this...

There is not one drop of your self worth that depends on what other people think or say

Actions always speak loudly, but silence is absolute...

It tends to be associated with the colour black

A defined meaning, strong and with great depth

It does nothing, yet seems to explain everything

And no one ever tells you that bravery feels like fear

Making you acknowledge the fact, just because you carry it well, does not mean it is not heavy

You are simply doing the best that you can in a time unknown

Do not condemn yourself to your struggles

Forgiveness of oneself comes when you move forward

Never believe the voices in your head

They only come from the words of others, ones in which you should forget...

Understand the meaning in choice...

Step back, step away, or release it...

Surrendering is not admitting defeat

Believe in the power...

Just like your heart beating, there is justification in choice

Find the being within...

Live it with purpose...

Make this the beginning of always

Because in a world obsessed by the climb to greatness

Be and allow gratitude...

For it is the pause within a moment...

Take the well deserved breath and exhale...

So you can appreciate the view.

"Believe Them"

 

With trial and error...

We come to know the difference...

That lingering thoughts hold too many moments...

And when things do not add up within a situation, we must subtract ourselves

We don't owe anyone a version of ourselves that keeps them comfortable, and leaves us exhausted

Our current or past struggles are not our identity

We are not too sensitive or overreacting

If it hurts us, then it hurts...

You are the author of you

No one knows our entire story...

Yet, some claim to know us completely, just by some words or a few actions

They only believe the parts that keep them right and what helps them sleep at night

Because if they would understand the truth, then they would have to change something within themselves

It's easier for them to think something wrong, than to make the effort to stand up for another being

And our intuition tends to know...

Once questions begin to be asked, answers will always be sought

Reality bears truth...

Making this another very hard lesson learned within our life

That when people treat you like they don't care...

We unfortunately have to believe them...

Resort priorities when and as needed

Stop giving people so much power over you that their silence leaves you questioning your worth

Because the worst part of self-betrayal, is always putting somebody's feelings before your boundaries

And despite the thought process, most people need acceptance more, before condemning advice

Change will happen when chosen

Allow the release...

Fight to keep the wounds healed

Clear the unsolved and all that use-to-be

You've made the hard choices...

You've done the work...

Now protect what you have created.

"Always Yours"

 

First it hurts...

Then you realize and understand...

And that is when it changes you...

Regardless of thought within any given moment

You have the power always...

This is all part of the greater story, not the end coming to claim you

Life is already hard with all of its in between moments

This is why you need to remove your presence from those who tend to make things worse

Making your choices into motions according to other's actions

Never judge a person on how they handle pain that you have never felt

You can live with scars, but not open wounds...

You must validate the hurt...

Your growth owes no one an explanation

Refuse to be disrespected by those who label you difficult

Simply because you stand up for your right to not be mistreated

Their inadequacies are not a direct reflection of you

Opinions of others does not equal your self-worth

Because tolerance can be a very thin line often ignored...

You may stand up for yourself in every way

Be the bigger person that you need to be

But that does not give unlimited permission to receive any type of abuse

Understand the sad reality...

That not everyone will be happy for you...

Because your change will only trigger and remind them of the things that they refuse to change

Speak your life with existence

Be your truth...

We all thrive when seen

And remember, forgiveness is usually more for you than them

It never requires reconnection after disconnection

Make your decision...

Be kind, be cruel, or be silent...

The choice is always yours.

"End of Every Choice"

 

Moments pause...

It all begins and ends within your mind...

What ever you give power to, has power over you...

This is why we should never confuse what we are offered, for what we are worth

The senses speak out...

Listen...

If it causes you to second guess yourself repeatedly, step back

Making that a legitimate reason to separate yourself from a person, place or thing

Stay only where your presence matters

Release those who wish to leave you when they want to go

Let it hurt...

Then allow allow the first steps of healing from it begin...

Remind yourself that you can let go of people who are okay with losing you

Because if they steal more energy than they give...

Step back, conserve your power, and spend your energy elsewhere

Let go of the blame...

Have courage in the peace found beyond them

Come to know the facts within change

You have now outgrown the version of you that tolerated too much

Never apologize for not allowing chaos entry into your life

Especially when you offered more, and they gave you less...

Trusting another is always our decision...

And them proving us wrong, is their choice...

As hard as it may be, we need to see things as they are...

And not as we wish them to be...

Which always brings us to the end of every story told

On a day when you realize that turning the page from this one to the next, is the best thing ever done

Because there is so much offered in life than the chapter you have been stuck upon.
