"Depth Of Damage"

A single word...

The length...

And true intent in meaning...

The description...

Or lack of any definition...

Lead to the actions taken...

Which now bear witness to the aftermath

And all to often, devastation...

Do you even know?

The true depth of damage

When ego driven control demands all...

The narrative changes to suit the day...

Is being right worth the cause of emotional war?

Where is the correction found?

Over shadowed by an uneven moral ground

Hidden is the truth behind the facade

For answers given are all reasons to nothing

A simple question was asked...

And lies were told...

Fed to the willing...

Poisoned was the fruit laid out

Cold and bitter was the taste

Allowances were given...

Until all reasonable cause defied explanation...

Time revealed all intention...

Silence found a deception come to light

It's not an over reaction...

For when betrayal is used to lead the heart astray

And force the view of many...

To make another less than what they appear

Or even feel...

You remove all validation

To the point of abandonment...

"Come To Say Goodbye"

We carry these moments with us...

Of everyday...

All the hope in tomorrow

And sadly...

Some of the regrets in all the yesterdays...

We surrender so much

The power given

And the power taken...

Forfeiting the right to heal

All the while the allowance for others is given so much

That we carry wounds with us

From mistreatment, to the deepest hurts

Please stop keeping score...

These are some of the hardest things you'll have to do in life

Grant yourself forgiveness...

Stop giving all of yourself to those who never show

And refuse to hold your hand as you stand in the rain

Let go of all the love for those who are not ready to love you yet...

Save the words of hard conversations

From those who will not listen to understand...

Remove your presence from those who are indifferent to yours

Give yourself the same hope, love, and kindness that you give others

You are deserving of this and more

Embrace the calm...

And the coming of peace

In the hardest, but best decision made

Only and all for you...

Because moving on is change

And its not about being cruel

Or even forgetting the lesson learned

It's having the strength to say, “You are not worth the pain..”

It's a bittersweet goodbye...

And a final farewell...

To be done completely...

With these moments.

"All That Can Be..."

It's there...

Beneath the skin...

Hiding from the light of day...

Coursing through fragile veins

It can turn the comfortably sweetness of life sour

Seeping in through the cracks of abandonment

It hits without warning...

Digging deep into the depths of the soul

This invisible force carries such power

It steals through the living moments

Staining all happiness

Taking the will of life...

The voice to call out

And even the name we give our being fades...

Memories fail at remembrance

The final defense against invasion turns the tides

A war within breaks out

Feelings turn blind

Emotions run fast

The dull ache gambles with all that can be broken

The world pulls at tender skin

Tears fall from this newly worn mask

Trembling fingers wipe away tears

Hands reach out screaming

Boundaries drawn out of fear

Now become the walls built beyond the comprehension of sight

A prison of blackness...

A cage of depression...

Here at the edge

Time stops...

Feet barely hold their ground

The mirror within bares witness

A reflection of life in transition

Reality is existence...

Its in plain view...

The question now is...

Will you let it choose you?

Or consume you?

"Trust The Moments"

Moments counted...

Learned and relived...

Cherished and forgotten...

This is the many parts of life

A breaking dawn with new hope

And yesterdays past

We are the caregiver of ourselves

The bearer of the light

We are not the sum of others wrong choices made

Nor are we the assumptions made against us...

Some moments come after years...

Others in a single second seen...

While many actually silently pass us by

As we come to the realization made

That we must remove ourselves from the presence of anyone who has hurt us...

More than they have loved and respected us...

One who drains the being, instead of replenishing it

To let go of the giver of unrest

Stealing our inner peace

We must grow within life

It's those necessary steps taken

Those moments of motion forward should be praised

Not used to condemn the negativity of darkness

So forgive yourself these moments

For not knowing what you didn't know...

Before you ever learned it...

Because sadly...

Some moments are beyond talking and trying

Certain ones just simply need to be done

Move passed that single thought

Of once believing you couldn't live without chaos

For life brings us a many of things we never thought we ever wanted

Let allowance and acceptance be greater than fear...

Have faith and hope

Find the lesson

Trust the journey.

"All That You Have"

Pause...

Be still...

Be silent...

Take a second for you

Breath in...

Exhale...

Even if its all that you have to give today

Embrace this moment for you...

We are not perfect beings

Find comfort in knowing we are all continued works in progress

Learning...

Healing...

Changing...

Adapting...

Who are we to judge?

How we are fixing what others or life has broken within us

Our happiness found or gained

Should not fall under any sort of shame

Sometimes its not about right or wrong

Or whats right and what is easy...

More times enough, its about validation

It's that calming embrace found deep within the words, “I understand”

When a helping hand holds you still

Wiping away your endless tears

We are the care givers of our humanity

The worth invested

And the debt taken...

All that is received or put out into the world

Making us the reflection of our true desires needed

Because life....

In all its various moments

Is meant for existence.
