The bonds we did not break...

Are not solely up to us to repair...

From what is done and said

Is a step away from the truth

Now becomes the distance of a lie

Mistakes left uncorrected

Brings shadows

Gray shades colour in where radiance once shone

Life has so many paths

Leading us all...

Good or bad...

Most would not even give it a second thought

But we should give thanks to all that has brought us here

Each moment a building block in time

We do our best to forget

To stop loving...

Or caring...

But there is no true disconnect

Everyone and everything its a part of us from the beginning

And to the end...

Its the acknowledgment given

That we have learned what has been taken

Grown passed that which we cannot understand

To be more than that moment

Allowance in forgiveness is heavy

Let go of that which does not serve you well...

Hate is just another way of holding on

Release the ties...

If not for them...

Do it all for you...

Unlock the chains of guilt

Set free the anger that pollutes your heart

Bitterness, fear, distrust should not be held within the same hand as love

Embrace yourself

Live passed the lesson learned

Because you don't live there anymore.

"Room For Humanity"

One way or another

It's gonna make its presence known

Experiences within life bring us here

There is a sentimental value given to those things lost

Despite my reservations

This is my conscience clear

Far too many moments kept me

Footsteps forward held tightly

To those things the heart did not want to give up

I waited upon time to do what it does best

Heal...

Peace was found within the abandonment

I settled the confusion

The bargaining between every “I'm sorry”

And letting every strike against me out weigh the shadows growing

The allowance was total and all consuming

The debt was daily life...

Boundaries were trespassed upon

Until memories confined each and every thought

You were the best of me, until you became the worst...

We once walked together

Building life within living

Blinded by giving...

I became the stepping stone on your way to be a better you

And never did you attempt to save that which you left behind

My admission was my ownership taken...

Casting out that which did not serve me well

It was my proclamation to all that once held me still

It was letting the sunshine back in...

Gray clouds cleared from to many dark days counted

Clarity has been found within each day and month passed

All echoes of you have faded out

Comfortable am I again with the silence speaking

This is my well being

My effort given forth

Existence is a verb

And I am motion forward.

Scattered thoughts...

Burdened mind...

Heavy is the soul filled with uncertainty

Most people never truly know the whole story of us

They enter...

Join in...

Stay for a while...

Or live with us creating existence

We are all things that have brought us this far

The pain and grief...

Living passed the suffering

Survival is within us

All experiences are carried within our being

It's the blood in our bones

And within the thread of every heart string

Like photographs, our memories are the return ticket to a moment otherwise gone

The days passed remind us of the true value of time

If a moment is all we have...

Then let shine bright your inner light

Eyes watch the line

Between what is right and what is easy

Passion is this

Our greatest heights can be reached with conviction

We are the difference between words and actions

Yes, we do fall down upon the path of life

We break...

And maybe fail...

But then life, happens always...

With all it's possibilities

So we pick ourselves up

We rise and learn

And over come all that once held us still

Because at the end of it all...

Life shows the story of us all

Nature tells us without a single word

Seasons change with flights of birds

Sunny days shorten still

Leaves of colour drift in the wind

Flowers rest and hide their bloom

We are these changes to

Our very own spring, summer, winter, and fall...

Moments under the sun

Until darkness comes to stand

Existence walks with us

Belief in ones self

Is the biggest thing given

The most valiant effort taken

The courage to rise above those things that hold you still

It's never to late to begin

Start now...

Exactly where you are

Pick yourself up

It's a lesson learned

Use the fear to drive you

Start with doubt...

You never know where things will take root

Inspiration can be found

Anything is better than pain

Reach out with shaking hands

Speak with a trembling voice

Judge no one of imperfections

Until you are completely perfect yourself

Be proud...

Make the world wonder why you are still smiling

Despite it all, you are here

Start and don't stop...

Start with what you've got

And where you are now

With all you have...
